Hearing the sound of the wedding march sent Riley’s stomach into a fit of butterflies as she walked to the end of the aisle where she saw all of the guests, her wedding party and fiancé at the alter. She drew in a deep breath and looked to her father as she walked with him down the aisle, at the end she kissed his cheek before passing her bouquet to her maid of honor, Avery. She smiled to the blonde before turning to her fiancé, who had a look that made her know this was the right choice, to marry him. Chase took her hands gently in his as the preacher started the ceremony, “is there anyone who believes that these two should not be brought together in holy matrimony?” There was a moment of silence and just as the preacher went to continue, Chase looked to Riley and let out a sigh, “I’m sorry..” he spoke quietly before letting go of her hands, “I can’t do this..” he looked to the preacher and gave a small nod, the whole venture going silent. Riley was astonished by his words, tears filling her beautifully done up eyes. She shook her head and took off down the side of the aisle and into the farmhouse where they were getting ready. Unable to process what happened, she pulled her veil off, leaving it beside her as she plopped onto the floor in her white dress. Tears falling down her cheeks, she felt all she could do was cry, she was left at the alter- one thing she never thought would happen.
