Gary Kent-Allen Richards-Linda Gaye Scott-Mercedes McCambridge “Run home, slow” 1965, de Ted Brenner.
I haven't been able to write you a proper poem Before you there were men And women There were colors divine And chills up my spine But blood is the color of wine And you can go ahead and drink mine But you won't wake up with Jesus in the morning I won't walk on water No matter how much you will me too And the same goes for you Those who came before you They were muses I applied paint thinner and stripped them until they were blank canvases Dipped them in India ink And wrote my ideals into the curves of their cheek bones Crammed metaphors in curly script Into the hollows of their hip joints I made a fine point Of disguising them as something immaculate Hello My name is Josee Demboski And i have borderline personality disorder We are commonly women We are known to either idealise or devalue people or situations At extremes it runs in cycles I either love or despise With very slim gradient in between Life is very black and white, impulse control is nearly nonexistent When i love someone, i wrap them up in my idea of perfection I worship at their feet I write poetry like graffiti and leave it everywhere A slug trail behind me on the cement But this is a false love, it is falling too hard Being too lonely Desperate to be saved When i eventually realise no one is perfect I snap And criticize I break them down and leave them rotten on the curb I fuel my artistry through the consumption of others My heartbbreak is a fire that burns eternal I've never written so much as when Im sad And torn over some catastrophic break up I haven't written you much poetry because i don't want you to end up some dried up muse I don't want to paint you a cheap whore on the sidewalk Like chalk after rain When i look at you I don't see perfection You have vices and flaws But you are committed You are strong and smart You are loyal and attractive And you make me laugh, Since i have met you my chances of dying by suicide have gone down %70 You are real and you are mine And i will love you for your flaws And i will become a better person With you everyday So i didnt write anything that wasn't true I waited for this poem to rise in my chest Like crying for joy Like the realest moment of my life
