The Fox && The Hound ||Carter and Leo

Leo was sat under a tree near the edge of a park that lead into the forest. He had finally finished moving and was happy it was over. Kept his eyes on his baby girl who was laying on her blanket, wiggling a few of her toys, cooing loudly. Leo chuckled moved to lay in front of her, moving some more toys for her. The little sun hat she had on fell into her face and Leo grinned, pushing it up. It was in this moment he remembered what his girlfriend had said after they had the baby.
‘I can’t stand her! I need to be with real people! You take her!’
Which just blew Leo’s mind, he loved this girl and every second she did something that just blew his mind. Rolling onto his back he picked the girl up and held her up, grinning at her loud squeals of joy. As the boy played he noticed a shadow loom over him before quickly darting in a different direction. Moving to a sitting position he looked back and the person walking away looked very familiar...and smelled even more familiar. Standing up he held the girl to his chest and trotted after the man.
“Carter? Is that you?” He asked finally, standing a distance away from him, moving his little girl to sit on his hip. “I-I can’t believe it’s you! I had no idea where you’d gone!”
