"If this is what we think it is, Toasty and Allen won't be the ones in immediate danger. They'll be fine." The bird whispered, the clicking of his dangling prosthetic ringing in the ears of Artorias.

"...Alright, fine. We'll send the boy with Allen." Artorias conceded, sitting back up. "Firepaw. You made a good point, Allen will need a fire type to accompany him for his safety."

"Wait, hold on!" The Audino shouted. "It could be too dangerous for him."

"Elizabeth. If there is any danger, the boys will be far away from it. They're only there to seek out anomalies. The Rescue Team will be the ones fighting. Toasty needs to get out there and see the world beyond just Dead Oak." Reed chirped.

"And if danger does come 'round, Allen is strong enough in his powers to ensure any threat can be neutralized." Artorias added.

"...Okay." Elizabeth said, in a low tone.

She felt the familiar nudge of her son's snout pressing under her chin, his big blue eyes staring at her. He gave a small smile, tail wagging happily.

"It'll all be fine, Mum."

"Guildmaster Reed," the Umbreon mutters.

The Pidgeot stretches out the fake wing once more, the "feathers" releasing a sound akin to metal rubbing against itself. The arcanine's ears fold back at the shrill tone, grumbling to himself.

"I don't see why you would approve of this. The terrain is not built for him." Artorias claims, rubbing his chin.

"You have not been to the South since the war, Arty. The new roads they built down there have made it far easier for Pokemon to traverse. And sending Guildmaster Elizabeth with Allen will ensure that he is kept safe and comfortable."

"Okay... And what about the season? Winter in the south has not suddenly became less cruel." Artorias argued.

"Sure, but we have the provisions for it. It will not be an issue." The Pidgeot replied, tapping his toes along the hardwood floor as he entered.

The Umbreon looks at the bowl, lost in thought as he slowly pushed a few coins towards the two.

"S-Sorry for bringing the mood down. I... I've lost my appetite."

He doesn't say anything else, quickly turning to roll away, knowing that he had likely ruined the day for Rio, Ayumi, and anyone within an earshot.
