If it costs too much money and you haven’t gotten paid then it’s within your rights to just quit. Although, it’d be best to talk about the problems with the manager first.

see I've mentioned the car problems with my manager already: I'm in a situation where I either have to share my car, or have to be free to drop off/pick up my siblings from their various summer activites. She knows this. And on Saturday I ended up having to give her a notice through When 2 Work, our scheduling website, that I was unable to work Sunday due to the fact that my car, my only means of getting to work, had broken down. I later got a call from her that was in essence a lecture about irresponsibility, and the necessity of having a back-up plan if you think you might miss work, and how rude it was to inform her of this via "what is essentially a text-message" the night before. When I had heard from her that When 2 Work was the best means of getting in touch with her. And my car had broken down late in the evening and I was more focused on getting it fixed/stressing out about how my parents had to pay for this.

Basically, these problems have been aired. And while my car is now fixed, I personally have not driven it yet. (my dad says it's running fine and I am inclined to believe him, but my mom drove this car all year since the end of last summer, and it was working perf. fine for her, and then I get behind the wheel and it starts stalling at every whipstitch unless we keep the take COMPLETELY FULL). I haven't driven it yet because right before it broke down it stalled out on me in the middle of super heavy traffic with me stuck in a turn lane and it wouldn't turn back on and me with my three younger sisters in the car with me, thinking we're stranded in the middle of 6:00 traffic, and I was stressing the fuck out. And just getting in the car continues to stress me out. And the idea of going to work where I have to drive so far away and knowing that I have NO ONE to call if something like that happens to me again who can get there in under 30 minutes... that's super stressful.

And getting lectured by my manager when I did the responsible thing and got in touch the only way I knew how, to inform her that I had no possible way of getting to work... that's not helpful.

So basically, the problems have been aired... and it's nothing that can really be fixed except by my not continuing to work there. 

Which is shitty because it's a super easy job for good (above min. wage) pay and if I didn't live so far away I'd have no problems but... c'est la vie.

i know youre pain :C but i have been fortunate to have grown out of my sever dog allergy! however, cats, birds, and motherfucking rabbits (the worst reaction i have) are out of the question </3

nice! unfortunately, i grew INTO my allergy so idk if i'll be so lucky. dang dude, my heart goes out to you. maybe someday you'll get lucky again :)

I'm so sorry. I'm pretty sure my minimal contact with animals is what keeps me somewhat sane

luckily there will always be things that i'm not allergic to, like stuffed animals, reptiles/amphibians, and other human beings :'D

I feel this way so hard. But its bullshit, people care even when they don't engage. I'm so shitty about talking to people but I think about my friends a lot. You have to think about the people you care about and reverse it. We're harder on ourselves.

yeah, it's kind of an unfair statement to make on my part when i reach out to interact so infrequently myself, but it's also difficult not to feel forgotten about when there are so many methods and chances for communication and it never happens. i guess it's something everyone (including myself) could be a little better about?

ahh, I was tagged by prose-and-melodrama and darn it, they're just such a cutie, I couldn't say no to filling this out.

  1. Last book you read?

Actually, it was Darkness Visible. (I recently went to half price books and got star trek novels and psych books and classic lit and ahhh I’m so psyched my library is going to be so great)

2. Was English your first language? If not, what was it? Can you speak any other languages?

Luckily it was! I took Spanish in high school, but I like to think I’m decent at the basics of it. I know a few words in other various languages, but the only other one I bet my money on would be Spanish.

3. What fictional character do you think you’re most like?

That’s tough since I’m still young and “finding myself”, but overall, I’d have to say I’m like Benedick from Much Ado About Nothing ha ha. However, I’m a lot more shy than he is- but once I warm up to someone, it’s all jokes and quips…though they’re usually received as insults, much to my dismay.

4. Tea or coffee? How do you take it?

Both! One must be prepared for any sort of company…though there are times and places for both. For both, cream and sugar really depend on what kind of blend and what strength it is. There are more teas than coffees that I’d take straight though. Pure tea is more forgiving on the palette than coffee.

5. Favourite place to eat?

Oh no, that’s difficult. I don’t really have a favourite place, as long as the food is good and the atmosphere fits, I’m happy. Though, I’m particularly fond of pubs and places that always serve hot tea…

6. Favourite part of nature (beach, cliffs, forests, etc)?

The Ocean. As long as it’s not overwhelmingly hot, I like to be coastal, preferably near some forests.

7. Libraries or bookstores?

Forgive me, I seem to be short circuiting. I’ve never really had a good library near me, so I’m more partial to bookstores (especially if they have cafes in them, oh bless)

8. What is the kindest thing that someone has done for you?

Honestly loved me after seeing what kind of horrible person I can be.

9. What is your favourite outlet for creativity?

Sculpture, followed closely by a tight tie between drawing and writing.

10. What personality trait would you like to possess?

Faith. I’d like to be able to believe in the potential goodness of people rather that assume the worst.

11. Do you desire power?
