There really isn’t a “worst” thing! Except maybe how I get the cold shoulder after vet visits.
oh man you should have seen Mia after her last visit! She ignored me for the rest of the day, birdy death glare and all! It's for your own good!! I want you to be healthy don't hate meeeeeeeee!Â

The worry about them getting injured or hurt. One of my boys had an accident when he was young and still had clipped wings and broke his leg
I am so sorry to hear about your little boy! D: I hope he's okay now. Â That is definitely one of the big downsides of birds, such fragile little creatures and oh so clumsy.

How cautious you have to be with candles, sprays, and cleaners in general.
oh man is it brutal! Those delicate little respiratory systems sure make shopping hard, but in a way having to change out all our supplies to better their health benefits our own health as well. Â If it damages their lungs and internal structures it is more than likely harming ourselves gradually over time as well. Â So it's not all bad, better for everyone's health in general!

Def its the way people react when they find out I really care for a bird. People (at least around me) don’t seem to see the value of investing time and money in an animal that’s not a dog/cat, and that’s sad.
I blame the phrase "bird brain" people really underestimate the capabilities of birds and don't think they deserve the same, if not more, love and care as any other species. Â I hate it when people think "it's just a bird" then think you're crazy because you want to spend outrageous amounts of money, love, and time on them. They are wonderful, emotional, intelligent creatures which have been proven to have higher intelligence than man's best friend!Â

Probably sharing a home with him and other people, constantly expecting them see him as an annoyance. Thankfully my BF understands birds…
The only thing I really consider annoying is them trying to take my every meal but I find most undesirable behaviours can be trained out or distracted from! Â Dangit, where are all the bird boys! I need to get me one of those! You are so lucky to have an understanding bird BF!
Thank you for all your wonderful responses! Why couldn't I think of these in the car?!
