Day 32: Boat Ride for Free?
Day 31: All-Star Gaming
Startin' to bring a dead project back from the grave.
Day 27: Happy Birthday, E.M. A Story of my First Love.
As I sit here in the bar, drinking a glass of Cranberry Ginger Ale. Skype has alerted me that it is someones birthday today... A girl that I haven't talked too in months. She was my first girlfriend, if that even counts. E.M. was her name, I guess it wasn't meant to be. We were completely different people meeting in some strange circumstances. She had a beautiful voice, like an angel. She was into the theatrics. I was in to entertaining people. E.M. was a shy girl, I guess the way I portrayed my self intimidated her. She never liked the idea of socializing with people at cons. I did invite her to a convention, which was Fanexpo. We were so close from running into each other...my phone broke that day. We ended up going out on our first date, and it was my first date. I thought everything was great, we had fun...
I guess I wasn't good enough. We would stay in touch as friends but that didn't last long...I hope things are going well for her. Its the best I can hope for. Would it be wrong for me to wish her otherwise? Even though she isn't around anymore she was there at a time when I had no one to help me during a horrid moment in my life. This song will always be a reminder, of how good things can come at a point in time where everything feels like nothing is worth living for. I sang this song, for her. I know its dumb, she wanted me to sing her a song. I can't sing, but I have a heart for this song. Happy Birthday E.M. Maybe I'll run in to you at Anime North. Who knows, its a small world. People run into each other all the time with out even knowing.
Names are an important key to what a society values. Anthropologists recognize naming as 'one of the chief methods for imposing order on perception.' ~David S. Slawson
Day 8: What's your Moniker?
Louis Frost aka Allfrost aka Teddy aka Gloomy Something that I've thought about recently. Names. Whether its your actual name, nickname, alias or online handle everyone has a name that has held the traditions or ideas of their own personal psyche. Nicknames and online handles can be interpreted by just looking at the names. Sometimes as the time passes on those names lose meaning, and there is the possibility of change. So when one changes there name, does everything about them physical, emotional, mental change as well? Have you ever thought of one point in changing your name to something else?
What about the meanings of your names, nickname or online handle?
Whats the origin story? Between me and my sisters. All of our names have the world "Love" in it. Its a strange thing. But hey, we all got to live with it. Would it be better to live in a world where your not identified by name? Probably not.
