Dean tapped his fingers on his keyboard, downloading some new game, groaning at how long it was taking. All he wanted to do right now was play some Portal to relieve the tension that his homework was putting on his shoulders, but he couldn't even do that because it was taking for-fucking-ever. He gave up on sitting there, idly moving his hands about, and stood up to get a glass of water. Of course, right as he stood, there was a knock at the door, and in stepped Cas. "Cas, uh, personal space?" He asked, though he knew it would do no good. They'd had this conversation multiple times already, but his neighbour didn't exactly appreciate the fact that most human beings (including Dean) preferred to keep people at half-arm's length, and not have them barging into their house without being invited. Whatever. "Dean, I need help." "With what this time?" He asked as he peered above his glass as he drank, green eyes making contact with icy blue ones. His heart skip a beat as the other's tongue poked out to swipe against dry lips, and he focused on not focusing on how damn cute his classmate was. Nope, definitely not thinking about it. Not at all. "My Wi-Fi is being slow." He seemed honestly confused, desperate even, "And the computer is saying something about how it could be that too many people are on it, but who would even be able to use it? It's password-protected." A clink on the table as the glass was set down, and a sigh from Dean as he realised they were finally going to have this conversation. It had been almost a year already and he supposed Cas still hadn't figured out what exactly was wrong with his W-Fi (and Dean never told him, after all, he needed somebody's internet to download his games on). "It wouldn't take Sherlock to figure out your password, buddy." He laughed, giving a small shrug of his shoulder as some sort of casual joking, not wanting to offend the easily-confused man in front of him, "Hell, I got it on the first try." "What?" His voice cracked, and it sounded like he was just told his puppy died or something. God, now he felt bad, his stomach knotting up as his smile faded. "Well, your password is literally 'password', Cas. It doesn't get much simpler than that, and when you're surrounded by either poor families who can't even afford Netflix, and college students, you gotta expect someone to hack into that pretty easily." "Well, uh, how do I change it?" "I dunno, man, I'm not the geek of my family, go ask Sammy." "Dean!" "Sorry, Cas, don't know how to help you." He walked over and patted his shoulder, sitting back down and opening the download bar, groaning when the game was only 50% downloaded. "Dean, please! Help- wait whose wi-fi does it say you're using?" A grin spread across the Winchester's face as Cas looked closer, the word 'Angel Radio' wrtten clear across the screen. "Dean!"
