ODEYA RUSH, CISFEMALE, SHE/HER, PANSEXUAL; Is that SARAH ALESSIA “ALLIE” PUCKERMAN I see getting a cup of joe at the Lima Bean? Sounds like them. Apparently, they’re TWENTY-SEVEN years old and I know from Instagram they seem to be COMPASSIONATE but also STUBBORN and are a REGISTERED NURSE. Not to mention their feed reminds me of EARLY MORNING ESPRESSO, UNSENT HEADSHOTS, SPONTANEOUS ADVENTURES, ROSE COLORED GLASSES. Here’s to hoping they get out of Lima soon!
Birthday: April 27th, 1994
Relation: Full Sibling to Puck, half-sibling to other Puckerman’s
Secret: After auditioning for a small television role on a whim, Allie recently got a callback but she doesn’t know if she should continue pursuing this dream because it would mean being away from her family and the life she’s always known.
THREE THINGS ABOUT ALLIE:
White picket fences and a picture perfect family has never been the ‘norm’ for Puckerman clan. This, Allie realized from a young age. But while it may not have fit in with the ideal family frame, it was perfect. Not to say that growing up with a newly single mom didn’t come with its struggles, but in a way, it brought them closer. The three of them took care of each other and that’s all that mattered. And when the family started to grow, Allie couldn’t have been more excited to find she had more brothers and a sister. It just meant more people to love, right?
The story of her dad’s reputation was not a heavily guarded secret in their house, especially when betrayal still seemed like a fresh wound even years later. Allie never really knew the man, as he left before she was even born, everything she knew only being from stories shared by others that didn’t exactly paint him in the best light. And she didn’t blame them for that. But this was ultimately what sparked the nickname ‘Allie’ to become what she went by instead. She had known her mom always loved her middle name, but what she didn’t know was that it was the name her mom would’ve picked but her dad had always said he wanted Sarah. So, that’s what she got. Truthfully, this bugged Allie more than she’d like to admit, and completely out of spite, she ditched the name Sarah in favor of the shortened version of her middle name, hence going by Allie.
Due to the closeness of their family, Allie always looked up to her mom and older brother. She admired how well they held their little family together in their own ways, protecting her even from the things she would label as excessive. This was something that never changed as she grew up and went through school, the admiration still set. She always said she wanted to do something just as good, something to make them proud too. So when they began the career talk in school, her answer was a no brainer. She knew her mom had been studying nursing before she dropped it, and Allie wanting a career that did some good, helped people, she felt like that road was the perfect fit.
While nursing was the path Allie ended up choosing, it wasn’t necessarily her dream. She had been drawn to the big screen, the dramatics if you will, as long as she could remember. She was constantly auditioning for shows in high school, even going as far as doing shows in the community theater. She loved acting and while it had always been a dream, she didn’t think it was anything she’d be able to seriously pursue and put it on the back burner as more of a hobby instead. But it was a hobby she continued through college and here and there afterwards, but never anything too serious. Until one night on a whim she auditioned for a show, not expecting anything to come of it, just to say she did it. Months later, she received an email for callbacks in the near future. While she felt over the moon because, well, she actually did it, she’s not sure if she’ll actually continue to follow this path. A path she’s always dreamed of, but a path that would take her away from the family and home she’s always known and loved.
