The personality between normal Allie and male!Allie is almost like night and day.
Normal!Allie is brighter, peppier, shorter and more open.
Male!Allie is quieter, taller, and a bit more reserved.
Empty.
The silence was no more comforting than the purring of the kittens snuggled into her.
Actually, nothing did anything for the weight she felt inside her. She felt numb, only feeling as though someone got a rusty, metal shovel and scooped everything happy and any sort of relief.. and every other emotion out of her. She felt lost, she felt empty... the bond was not smothered, or hidden. It was broken, clean off and gone. She even tried saying his name.
Nothing. He didn't appear. He wasn't there.
She had JARVIS send messages to Harri's phone and as expected, there was no reply...
She was crying, but she didn't feel like crying. The tears rolled on their own. Nothing seemed to stop it.
Maggie mewled concerned and pressed a paw onto her cheek. Allie didn't even have the strength to look away.
Was she even alive?
She couldn't even feel anything at this point. Maybe the pain was so great... was she even in pain?
Samael's visit earlier seemed to stir something in her but.. otherwise...
"Allie."
JARVIS' voice jerked her from her thoughts and she suddenly felt resentful, and ignored him.
"Would you like for me to contact one of your friends for company?"
"Fuck them."
The silence that followed was disapproving.
"I should contact your mother."
"Fuck her."
"Alexandra."
"Fuck you. Fuck everything. Fuck everybody. They can all go screw themselves." She wasn't even aware she was saying it.
A high pitched whine, as brief as it was, shut her up.
"I will request nicely, and once, that you cease this attitude and listen: you will not be spending your time alone in the home--"
"Mute."
And JARVIS fell silent.
Asleep.
If anybody walked into the living room of the apartment at Stark Tower -- if they managed to gain access, that is -- they'd see what used to be a fort big enough to fit one teenage girl, and papers everywhere underneath it...
and a pair of feet sticking out of the mess.
There was a soft beep overhead, and JARVIS' voice came on.
"Miss Stark, it is time for school. Awaken."
No response.
"Miss Stark." He repeated.
Nothing.
Suddenly, the loudest crow of a rooster blared through the apartment and Allie jerked up, knocking the blankets and pillows off her, papers flying everywhere. She yelled out in surprised, panting and putting a shaking hand to her chest.
"What?! Wh... S-Shit... JARVIS!"
"Good morning, Miss Stark. It is 9:30 AM."
"Christ, couldn't you have thought of-- Wait, what?"
"It is now 9:31 AM."
Allie's face went pale and she shoved all the things off her, running to the clock in the kitchen. He was right. Allie was an hour and a half late to school.
"OH FUCK! Jarvvy, you couldn't have woken me up before?!"
"I had made several attempts, to which you kindly responded, "Fuck off"."
She gritted her teeth in shame and rushed to her room, changing her blouse and tying the tie quickly on, pulling her blazer on and rushing to pick her things up.
"Shitshitshitshit-- I CAN'T MISS MORE SCHOOL!"
"Mr. Hogan is waiting for you downstairs. And don't forget your math book." He added and she spotted the forgotten blue book half-under her blanket.
"Shhhhhhiiiiitttt." She scooped it up. "Jarvvy, make sure Eleanor comes in for Cookie and Maggie, please!!" And she was out the door, leaving two very startled and confused kittens on the couch.
Allie desperately began texting the first person she could think of, which was unfortunately Rachel. She didn't like the girl very much, but Rachel could get her out of anything at this point.
"STALL TEACHER. I'M COMING TO CLASS NOW -- Alliecat"
Two minutes later came Rachel's response.
"He's taking me to the nurse. ;) -- Rachbaby"
Allie sighed in relief. She missed home period, but that could be made up with a note of sorts...
She suddenly bumped into someone just as she was almost out the door. Allie stumbled and fell back, and she heard an "OH MY GOD!"
She looked up and there was Raquel, her dark brown hair a bit lined with gray. She blinked in surprise.
"R...Raquel?"
"Allie, I'm sorry! I should've seen where I was going!"
"Wh..What are you doing here?"
"Oh, I came to see you.. I was told that you were staying here and I wanted to see if that meant your dad was home."
Allie paled. She had forgotten the custodial agreement and if Raquel found out that she was staying by herself instead of with Bruce, the trouble was on Kairo.
"Uhm.. Yeah! He's home. He's kinda... hiding away right now. Tired and all that."
Raquel beamed. "That's good! Anyways, I came by to tell you the good news: since your mom is engaged now, Immigration is being lenient and giving her a good deadline for her wedding. They'll be checking on her today, to see if her engagement is legitimate."
She felt a stone weight in her stomach. She had forgotten Kairo and Bruce were engaged now. She forced a smile. "That's awesome!"
"So why were you in such a hurry?"
"Oh, cause I'm late for-- SCHOOL! CRAP! I'LL--I'LL SEE YOU LATER, RAQUEL!"
She scrambled back to her feet and ran past, leaving Raquel behind.
Try it again.
She spun the lock once and it opened. Allie's heart sank in fear and she gave a soft gasp. She didn't pull her locker open just yet, the fear returning to her so overwhelmingly..
What if people started jamming things in her locker again? What if she had to transfer schools?
Her hands shook as she slowly opened it, against her will.
There was no fish in her locker, or rotten milk, or tomato paste everywhere... but a Victoria's Secret bag sat right in the middle, on her books. She blinked and saw a note hanging off of it. Allie tugged it off and read.
'You'll drive him crazy with this! You're welcome. See you tomorrow. XXOOXXOO Rachelie~'
Allie stared blankly at it for a long moment, before peering into the bag.
What she saw made her face go bright red.
Inside it was dark red lacy lingerie: a push-up bra and very skimpy underwear with a small bottle of perfume tucked into the corner. It took seconds before Allie realized the purpose of it and she had an overwhelming desire to burn it.
But wait, a voice said somewhere in the back of her head. What if this will serve you a good purpose? This can prove you aren't childish and naive and perhaps he will desire you more... and he won't leave you behind for someone better and more open...
She bit her lip in thought and sighed, tucking the bag and the note away inside her backpack, snatched up her books, closed and locked her locker and was off for class.
Outcast.
"So tell me, Alex." The name was emphasized so annoyingly, Allie actually winced.
"Yeah?" She looked up from her lunch to the girl next to her. The group she surrounded herself with... well, let's say there are days she questioned why she even talked to these girls.
The one next to her had strawberry blonde hair, bright caramel-like eyes and a confident grin. She almost always had her hair in a messy bun, but the locks of hair that fell out seem to fit perfectly and made her look even more beautiful. Her name was Rachel.
The two sitting in across from her leaned forward. A pair of twins, both brunettes with short bobs. One had her bangs swept to the side and mostly covering her forehead while the other had them pinned back. Monica and Mona they were called. They were almost as pretty as Rachel, and Allie often thought of them as her lackeys.
"About your boooyfriend. Thorn, was it? Still has a weird name. Anyways. You guys have been together for like, what, five years now?"
"Six months."
"And you two haven't even done it? You gotta put out, you know. Let him know what you got!"
Allie blinked at Rachel, staring at her blankly. "W-What? 'Put out'??"
"You can't be that naive." Rachel rolled her eyes and Allie felt a bit offended.
"Dress a little sexier, show your cleavage -- though you don't have much boobs to work with... Push-up bras do the trick! And skirts. Plenty of skirts."
"...Thorn and I aren't like that."
"Well, be like that," piped in Monica, "cause you'll lose him. He'll get bored of you and go find someone else to have sex with."
"Chances are, he's already starting to get bored," added Mona.
Dread filled Allie and she stared at them. "You don't know what you're talking about. Thorn... Thorn isn't like that. Thorn loves me."
"Yeah, well, you said he keeps leaving for trips for work and stuff?" Rachel raised a brow, sipping idly from her carton of milk. "That pretty much means that he's probably already seeing someone, and just keeping you around cause you're cute."
"Sorry, Alex." Monica followed.
"It's the truth." Finished Mona.
Allie found herself blinking back tears, and she took her tray and walked away, tossing the food out and storming out of the cafeteria.
There was no point in socializing with anybody there anymore, especially not those girls. They knew nothing about her relationship with Thorn, whatsoever, so they had no room to talk.
Yet, Allie couldn't help but feel that nagging sensation that being so naive and so... conservative was possibly pushing him away.
Allie is a Princess.
Allie and Kairo have a secret handshake in the form of a choreographed dance to the last verse of Shake It by Metro Station.
And cuddling.
lots of that.
okay night.
