Unpopular opinion: hash browns suck, they always suck and they always will. There is no way known to man to make that stringy greasy pile of garbage mush good, even when they're "crispy" or whatever they're still stringy and greasy and mushy. I have no idea who came up with a way to mess up potatoes but they deserve to be dug up and punched.
