I was reading one of your past answers about Scott being the beast but after watching the most recent episode and when the beast is seen he's inside with Kira and then you see everyone running inside the school. I also feel that since Stiles was void he wont be the beast. but they might because people wouldn't expect two times. there aren't many facts to prove it but I think Mason could be beast. it seemed like Corey has some realization while kissing him and it might be that he's the beast
Hey, sorry for the late reply. Time is always running out on me these days. No time for the fun stuff. *pouts*
Ah the beast. I know things are sort of pointing towards Mason right now. It’s just too—- obvious. If everyone sees it coming it’s the lamest twist ever, and not a twist at all. I think and hope Mason is a red herring. If not, then I’m seriously disappointed in the writers. I love Mason to death and absolutely wants him to a have a kickass storyline, this just feels… no. just no.
I’m still holding out hope for the beast to really be made of shadows right now, like Jeff has sort of hinted in interviews, and that it manifests separately from it’s host. That would be awesome. And it makes the suspect pool so much larger and the twist that much more difficult to spot. Now more or less everyone has seen the beast, so it becomes a process of elimination. The writers usually pull off better and smarter twists than this - ever since 3a with the darach everyone saw coming, they’ve been pretty good at hiding their juicy reveals. It should pack a punch. Unless they’re putting all their eggs in the Dread Doctor reveal being the talk of the town. I’m holding out for both.
As for the Corey kissing scene - we don’t know why he froze. Mason didn’t say anything incriminating to my recollection. He wasn’t sprouting black shadowy tendrils either. So for all we know Corey could’ve simply sensed, heard or felt that the beast was coming, and wanted to get out of there without causing alarm or panic. Or he had a sudden realization not related to Mason, something he perhaps didn’t want to share with him for whatever reason..
I know there’s a chance I’ll end up dead wrong about this. I’ve been holding on for Scott to be the beast, but Allison is another candidate I’ve throw around that absolutely would stun. Or Peter. Just the fact that he was mentioned last episode in relation to the beast and how it’s getting stronger with every shift, just like Peter did in season 1, had my alarms tingling.
The characters in the show and most viewers seem convinced that the beast has to be a human turned supernatural. I think that’s an incorrect assumption that has limited their search and view.
I guess we’ll know more in a few hours :)
