BIOGRAPHY (Trigger Warning: Abandonment, Emotional Distress, PTSD)
Allison had the unfortunate fate of being the middle child to parents, Ryland Hawthorne and Helene Pellisier. While she adored her older brother and her younger sister, it seemed all of the chips landed squarely on her shoulders from a very young age. Ryland and Helene had high expectations for their children, all of which lead to a life of being in the justice system. Her siblings ended up caring less about their parents' wishes and Allison found herself in a maze of trying to earn their affections, so she took the leap and sacrificed a normal childhood for one that made her reclusive. She was never without a book in her hands and she was teased relentlessly for it. Despite it all, she managed to turn it into fuel and white noise, though the further she began to know more about legal jargon and less about pop culture jargon, her only pockets of solace ended up being on the days where she found herself lapping up the sun on the coast. Summers were a bit more lax even as she still carried around legal books, but it also was the time where she’d meet with a kind girl with the softest chocolate brown eyes, possibly the only person who hadn’t considered Allison to be a weird anomaly. They never learned each other's names but they spent time laughing as if they’d known each other forever over everything and nothing at the same time. One summer, the girl with the brown eyes had disappeared without a trace and all Allison had to remember her by was a daisy she had pressed into one of her study books.
With grades that excelled beyond comparison and though Allison had been cooped up in a shell for most of her formative years, her end goal was to make it into a prestigious law school and she’d gotten that with ease, Harvard Law. It would be the first time she’d ever make it out of Washington and the worst part was she would be going alone. Allison had been used to being alone with her books but never had she been without her parents and her siblings. All she had was a suitcase and a one-way ticket with Ryland and Helene promising they would visit at the next chance they could, but they never did. She rarely heard from her siblings either unless she was the one to initiate a letter back home. Though it was initially worrisome, Allison slowly began to blossom out of her shell at Harvard. After her first year she found that she might have even belonged better in the East Coast in general. She was top of her class, steadily making friends and hopefully garnering future colleagues in her roster, however she happened to meet a colleague that she wished she’d never met, the man with the beady eyes, Elliott Langham. At first Elliott was cordial and charming, something that Allison had only ever heard about from off-hand experiences of others, but what she thought was care and love ended up being a terrible possessiveness that she didn’t feel she could get out of. Her father Ryland was much more enthused about the pairing as Elliott came from a family of Old Money fortune, her mother Helene however had doubts and for the first time in Alli’s life supported her own self doubts. Elliott’s possessiveness took a turn for the worst when a domestic occurrence occurred, leaving Alli to report the incident immediately and ending up taking him to court where she found herself being the plaintiff. Though she’d won her case, she’d lost Ryland’s respect and though she originally had Helene’s support, it soon withered into dust, and soon Allison found herself alone again, but she would not let it deter her from achieving her goals. She let her trial fuel her to the betterment of others wanting to help others the way she had been helped. She made it through the rest of school, passed bar, and found herself in the grace of a firm in Newport, Rhode Island.
Since then, she hasn’t heard from her family but her career has taken off. Though she had a lot of issues with night terrors and general PTSD, her life changed when she allowed a beacon of light into her life in the form of Sanem Reid, who ended up being the very same girl who had given her the yellow daisy she had kept pressed in her law book all those years ago. Their romance was a whirlwind of uncertainty but tenacious passion, eventually Allison knew she couldn’t be without her and the two were married a year after meeting. Now, as they have settled into life at King’s Head Harbor, they’re expecting their first child together and life as Allison knows it, is traveling a trail she cannot wait to explore.
