Wrapped Up (Tiny PoV)
You wake up in a grumpy mood. You quickly learn that you're not the only one.
You wake up after a night of sleep, but it didn’t particularly feel restful. Your dreams, while not explicitly nightmares, were difficult and annoying to deal with, and have left you wishing you hadn’t experienced them in the first place. You force yourself out of bed, groggy and in a relatively sour mood, and drag yourself out of your room.
You’re not ready to take on the day, not by a long shot, but you are awake regardless, and will just do your best to power through it. As you begin to make your way to the kitchen, you hear footsteps behind you, and they’re approaching you quickly.
Just as you’re about to turn and greet whichever brother is behind you, you cry out as, instead, two arms reach down to swiftly scoop you up. You quickly find yourself in Erik’s grasp, and he holds you close, greedily so, as he makes his way back upstairs to his room.
You sigh quietly as you lean against him. You’re not super eager to be held, but you’re not complaining either. He keeps quiet as he cradles you, one of his hands on the side of your face as his thumb strokes your temple.
He enters his room and immediately approaches his bed, sitting down and turning to lie down on it. As you settle on his chest, you look up to see him laying back and looking up at the ceiling with annoyance evident in his eyes, clearly not in a great mood either. He huffs beneath you, but the moment he tilts his head down to focus his attention on you, it all melts away as he meets your gaze with warmth in his eyes and a soft smile.
You hadn’t noticed his sweater until now. He gestures his head to direct your attention to the edges of it that he’s holding up, waiting for your response. You nod your head, lowering yourself down completely on his chest as he tugs the edges of it together before carefully zipping it up over you, tucking you snugly against him. As if that wasn’t enough, he pulls his blanket up to cover you under it with him, and then finally, his arms drape across you, holding you even closer to him.
He doesn’t say anything as he keeps you tucked so close against him, he just lets you be and holds you. You’re grateful for the quiet distraction, sighing as you try to think about anything other than your stressful dreams.
Erik begins to absentmindedly run his hands over your body, and you feel him take in a deep breath himself. You know he’s noticed your sour mood, and you wonder if he’s doing this more for your sake or his. You don’t care, either way, as you’re clearly benefiting from this.
You nuzzle your face into his chest and snuggle in, feeling safe, secure, tucked away. He hums softly, affectionately, in response to you making yourself at home. You press your ear against his chest and listen to his heartbeat, hearing it beating slowly and soothingly. He takes a deep breath, squeezing you just a bit under his sweater before releasing it slowly.
You find yourself feeling nice and cozy, all bundled up on his chest like this. Enveloped in warmth and darkness, you’re left to your thoughts. You think to yourself about the growing relationship you have with the brothers, how comfortable the three of you are with things like this happening. You don’t question your safety with them even remotely, even when they scoop you up out of nowhere. As you contemplate, you take a deep breath yourself and release it in a soft, content sigh.
You feel somewhat isolated from the rest of the world as he keeps you hidden away, a feeling that you realize is calming you down. Here, you don’t have to worry about anything except for Erik, and you’re able to focus on the incredibly comforting aspects of this time you’re spending with him.
You sigh again, this time with a soft hum as you let yourself fall limp, and you feel him chuckle again as he calms further himself.
You look up as you feel the mini-giant lift his arms, seeing light shining in as he lifts the blanket and unzips his sweater enough to peek in at you.
“Are you okay?” he asks, his voice rumbling beneath you.
You eagerly nod, nuzzling into and clinging to his shirt. He responds with a hearty chuckle, zipping his sweater, pulling the blanket back up and resting his arms over you again. His voice still comes through, but it’s ever so slightly muffled under the fabric.
“Good. Sorry for kidnapping you, I just saw how you were walking, and I wasn’t feeling great either, and I kinda wanted to just, y’know… wrap you up a little, see if that would help.”
“Mhm,” you mumble, burying your face into his shirt again as you listen to and feel him talking. His actions have helped tremendously, you’re much more at ease now as he keeps you close.
You’re well aware now that this is exactly what you needed to help cheer you up, your sour mood having long since been lifted as he just holds you to himself. There’s something so comforting about just laying on his chest with him like this, curled up and taken care of as he rests and holds you close.
You hear and feel him yawn, feeling the urge to yawn overwhelming you as you too reveal just how sleepy you still are.
“Aww, do you want to try and get some more sleep? I’m not going anywhere.”
You feel the blanket lift again as he awaits your response. You tilt your head to look up at him, yawning again and earning a less audible, more visual ‘aww’ on his face as he briefly admires you. You bury your face and smile to yourself as you curl inward, clinging to his shirt and closing your eyes.
“Yeah, go ahead and get some more sleep then. I’ve got you.”
His tone is calm and reassuring in the same manner that his voice rumbling beneath you is. His hand continues to soothingly stroke you, a constant reminder that he’s still paying plenty of attention to you. The gentle weight and pressure above you, combined with the warmth, breathing, and heartbeat beneath you send you into a doze not long after.
Just before truly falling asleep, you’re woken by the sound of footsteps and a voice.
“There you are! Have you seen- oh, I see. Nevermind, then.”
You quietly laugh to yourself as Drew realizes what’s going on, and Erik gives you a couple of soft pats to ensure he knows where you are.
“I was originally going to say I’ll be making lunch in a bit, but I can wait. Think about what you want. Oh, and uh, I call dibs next time!”
Knowing now that you’ll have to be on the lookout for Drew later on has you looking forward to the rest of the day, a far cry from how you were feeling earlier. No matter how you feel, these two always seem to be able to cheer you up.
With that in mind, you snuggle in before falling into a doze once more, but this time, you’re able to follow through. All bundled up with Erik, completely obscured from sight and enveloped in warmth and comfort, you drift off peacefully, finding much more restful sleep this time than the night before.
