It feels weird to say this about the penultimate episode leading up to what's bound to be a bloody and violent meeting with The Beast, but this episode was a lot of fun.

My first reaction after watching this episode of The Magicians was "Quentin, you are an IDIOT."

In a departure from last week's super serious tone, this episode is all kinds of awkward and features tons of sex.

This was a perfect episode in every way, adding even more depth and layers to the narrative- now we not only have a villain, but we have a villain with a creation story that we are interested in unraveling.

This episode of The Magicians featured a pair of particularly violent deaths, one to a furry friend that was extremely NOT humorous in the vein of cancer puppy, and one to a character that I didn't expect.

I can't help but feel disappointed because the time spent at Brakebills South in Antarctica was so short and felt so rushed.

This episode of The Magicians cranks up the gore and the sex appeal to great effect and offers up three pretty big surprising moments.
