Allison was born in Boston, Massachusetts, on October 20,1990 to interracial parents, Tamika and Patrick Moore, who worked as an ER Nurse and Banker, respectively. They were expecting to welcome a baby boy into the world, or at least that was what the Doctors informed them. But, to their surprise, Ali was not only born in their living room—unplanned—but also happened to be a girl. Her mother was supposed to be induced the very next day, but Ali had other plans. The couple were beyond ecstatic to have her since they had suffered many miscarriages before a successful pregnancy with Ali. After her birth, they went on to give her two siblings—Steven and Amber—all three of them being born within a year of each other. As the oldest child in her family, she had always been responsible and had helped to take care of her siblings. The trio were close, and still is to this very day.
She grew up wealthy, Ali came from old money on her father’s side and had a trust fund waiting for her when she turned twenty-five. Her grandmother made and market beauty products. A strong work ethic must have been ingrained in her DNA, because just like her parents and her grandmother, Ali followed in their footsteps. In school, she was a straight A student. Although she took studying seriously, she also knew how to balance out her social life with academia. She found the love of painting at a very young age, and continue to hone her craft even now. Ali attended Princeton where she majored in finance. She could have moved to Boston following graduation, but decided to head home instead.
A broken heart had been the reason behind it. While she was in Princeton, she met and fell in love with a girl named Katie. It was her first serious relationship. She had dated two boys in high school, but it ended relatively quickly. Almost immediately, she felt herself being drawn to the other girl. They were together since she was a freshman and their relationship could not have been better. What Ali didn't know was that Katie was a closeted lesbian—unlike Ali who came out to her family while she was still in high school. They knew that she was bisexual and supported her. That hadn't been the case for Katie. And a few weeks before graduation, they broke up after a particularly nasty argument. Since that time, Ali threw herself into work—she was now a Banker—deciding that it was not worth it to nurse a broken heart again.
