Kotaku
Someone popped me a link to this article, and I thought it was well written, well researched, and showed some good journalism. Which is surprising for Kotaku, I scrolled through this author's articles and he's written some good stuff.

If anyone would like to read or fact-check this, go right ahead, it basically says Pinsof is full of shit, isn't blacklisted, and the indie awards he said was rigged gives awards to everyone, and some of those conversations didn't happen.
Since then pinsof has backpedelled on his statements...
In the final part of our interview series we hear about Allistair Pinsof’s opinions on #GamerGate and what really happened with him at Destructoid.
"GamerGate lacks values, standards, and direction — thus I never joined — but it is not a hate group. A hate group is a group that discriminates against another group; women, according to the media, in this instance. Yet, I’ve seen more outspoken women in the GamerGate tag than woman speaking against it. Yet, I haven’t seen general misogyny or attacks against women from it, outside chan shitposts (designed to garner negative attention from critics monitoring) that few members of the group realize exist, not to mention promote.Misogyny and hate exists in GamerGate but by that standard, the internet is a hate group. What popular news site, forum, online game, or chat room have you been in where there isn’t a noticeable air of misogyny and shit-talking? This doesn’t make these attitudes and actions okay, but to present the game community as being disproportionately misogynist in comparison to other online communities is dishonest and manipulative."
In the first part of our interview with Allistair Pinsof we talk the state of the current gaming media and the recent layoffs in famous outlets
An enraged letter to Allistair Pinsof, Dale North and Neiro of Destructoid
Allistair Pinsof, you are a vile failed excuse for a human being
I do not believe that you actually attempted to counsel the game designer (i'll avoid mentioning her name, to try to contain this shit you did) out of suicide who attempted it on twitchtv.
I don't believe you gave a crap at all.
You outed her, you piece of shit, right after she tried to kill herself.
You bullshitted about the attacks on her and her campaign on Indigogo, after similar bullshitting and similar attacks pushed her to attempt suicide.
Furthermore, you have endangered her job opportunities in every fucking way. Would you like to know why I use a pen name here? Because cisgender (genders considered normal and privileged to the western white supremacy dominated world, cis women and cis men, like you, Pinsof) dominated companies don't like hiring trans women. Because transmisogyny is alive and well in horrible people like you.
You're the one who deserves to be stripped of job opportunities. Hell, someone as disgusting as you deserves to be the one in the hospital instead of her.
Every trans woman in the game design field (or whom ever was in the game design field, regardless of place now, because I was laid off ages ago and still can't find a job) is worth a fucking million of you. Myself and every other dmab gender existent person (for the uninformed, gender existent includes all the categories of those who are not cisgender, dmab means designated male at birth) who faces transmisogyny will always be worth more than you.
The woman you outed is worth more than a million of you could ever hope to be.
And you went and destroyed her career.
Doesn't matter that you took the tweets down. She'll have to fight that much harder for any jobs.
Do you know what it's like to fight your way back from the brink when you've attempted suicide? Do you know what it's like putting back together the pieces of your life when you're suicidal? Can you even imagine how hard it is to do that when you've been outed, lied about, betrayed (because she wouldn't have told you that she was trans had she not trusted you a little) and put in a position where your opportunities are hurt in a country where employment is way down and being unemployed endangers a trans woman even further? You don't have any idea how much worse you just made it for her.
You have no soul, Allistair Pinsof. And if Destructoid holds onto you, well I'm sure you can see what would be concluded about them and the folks responsible for keeping you.
Dale North.
Neiro.
Both of you are in positions of authority in Destructoid. The editor in chief and founder respectively. I understand that you've stripped Pinsof of his titles, his place on the staff page, cut his pay and took his email and accounts from him.
But you're still paying him.
You are still paying a man who betrayed the trust of a woman in danger and increased the danger to her livelihood and her life through the loss of job opportunities.
The danger to her life is not the sort of direct murderous danger that others have implied. Most violence faced by trans women (esp lethal violence) is faced by Black and Latina trans women. It's a danger of more suicidal feelings. It's a danger of being further ostracized from the support she needs to survive and thrive.
Any sort of danger being applied to this woman's livelihood and health like this? Any sort is grounds for removal.
Yet. You. Are. Still. Paying. Him.
Severely cut salary is not fired.
Leave of absence is not fired.
It's time to show that both of your staff and Destructoid in general has the ethics necessary to do what's right.
It's time to let Allistar Pinsof go
Here's an interesting news post from last week, which treats what could be a hot button topic (the fallout between Phil Fish and his former business partner) with great respect. It's not often I feature news here, but this is great:
Jason DeGroot and IGTM's filmmakers have been in talks for a while about addressing his absence in the film, according to McGrath. After a couple emails, it was settled that IGTM would have a note in the credits saying that DeGroot was never asked to be in the film. "Rejected" would be a more honest word, but DeGroot was happy enough until he saw a screencap of the digital release's credits, stating that he "asked not to participate in this film."
