Allius will find any small place to curl up in to read, his primus has found him in the most uncomfortable looking positions but he is unbothered.

Allius Stormrender, Tantalus and Igna's autistic son. Part of the Render Warband with Galvar, Vita, Patia and Lorranu.

He doesn't talk much, but he sure likes helping out with his magic, preferably with healing and protection. He can use it offensively if there's no other option.

He couldn't be any more different from his father, despite the significant physical similarities.

WIZARD ALLIUS WIZARD ALLIUS

Every day I log in to charge a quartz with Allius and I just stop and look at himb cute face...

How do you see Tantalus's story ending? He gonna go out like a chump or have a terrifying last stand?

Somewhat like a last stand, but in a way that isn't expected. The manner of his death is completely by accident, a shock to both him, and the one who deals it.

Scars are made that day, and not physical ones.

Though since I don't really plan to write that far ahead right now, I might as well spill the details. I already spilled details for Nastazya's after all.

Tantalus finds out in his 50s that his ex-mate Igna Earthvein (who is currently an Ash Tribune) was who ultimately got him caught and tortured.

Filled with hatred, he goes to settle that vengeance. At the time, the fairly newly graduated Render Warband is currently acting as bodyguards for Igna.

Tantalus uses his skillset and spying to figure out the best place to strike, and eventually manages to subdue most of the Render Warband and corner Igna.

It ends up with an injured Galvar turtling up with guardian magic to protect Igna, while Tantalus faces his son Allius. The only one of the Render Warband he's struggling to battle, because it's like looking in a mirror of his younger self. He tries to tell Allius to get out of the way, pistol aimed, but his claw isn't anywhere near the trigger.

Allius knows better though. He's on all defensive, recently trained in Weaver magic, but not a master of it at all. He uses a mix of air and water to make a storm that aims to heal Galvar and Igna, while debilitating Tantalus.

Tantalus at this point starts realising that things won't work out for him if he doesn't go ahead and get rid of his cub, it's now he starts aiming and firing at Allius properly. The ice storm his cub made chilled him to the bone enough that he doesn't have the dexterity to charge ahead in melee.

To defend from this onslaught, Allius quickly switches into earth attunement to create a rock barrier. But it keeps getting chipped away by bullet after bullet.

Needing more magic, Allius raises another paw to imbue further earth magicks into the barrier, except with his inexperience as a weaver he doesn't realise he's got air still half-attuned.

Unexpectedly to both parties, the air magic blasts the rock barrier into pieces and Tantalus ends up speared by multiple shards of stone against a wall. He's barely aware for a moment before he's gone. The last thing he sees is the haunted look on his cub's face.

Galvar tries to console Allius once everything's gone quiet. But Allius has earned himself a mental scar that won't clear so easily. He can't even bring himself to dual-attune elements anymore, he eventually drops being a weaver and focuses on tempest instead.

The rest of the Render warband and Igna recover. And I imagine Tantalus' body is dealt with by Iron Legion, probably burned.

However... There's always a chance that Revenants may pick up the Legendary Deadlock Stance...
