Very late like but saw your DMMD WIP post inspire by my sad ren post! Ahhh!! , u, !! Thank you!! I'm sorry very late reply but I was away in a trip. Thank you very much it's very pretty traditional drawing even as WIP. : D I am allmate-ren by the way!
Yay! I’m happy that you like my WIP! I hope I’ll find the time to finish it soon. I’d like to colour it with Photoshop, but I’ll probably refrain from that and colour it by hand as well (it’s faster for me, plus I probably won’t loose interest in it after I’ve put the basic colours on it°). Hope you’ll like the end result then, too! <3
This is my Mink Secret Santa gift for allmate-ren!
I'd like to, first of all, wish you a Merry Christmas for you and all your beloved ones. I hope you get many cool presents and spend time with everyone you love, and I wish you an awesome New Year full of achievements and even more awesomeness. Second of all, I'd like to apologize, because this turned out very simple. I didn't want to write, since my English is still not very good, but I ended up writing very a small story to explain the image in the end. I felt a little nervous when I drew it, because you may not know, but I've been following you for a while and I'm a huge fan of your art, really! So I hope from the bottom of my heart that you will like this. Once again, have a Merry Christmas and I truly hope you'll enjoy my gift :3
"Aoba, this is very ridiculous."
"Oh, is it?" the boy smiled, leaning in closer.
"I'm betting Mink-san likes my present better!"
"Don't be so obnoxious, you!"
"Awesome. Now the old man thinks that just because he is old, he has to put everything in order."
"You guys really can't go five minutes without picking on each other, can you?"
That year, Aoba organized a special Christmas celebration at his grandma's. He and Mink had travelled all the way to Midorijima just to hold that one party. Even though the blue-haired boy insisted it would be just a normal Christmas for everyone, like the ones they had spent together, Mink was still very suspicious, knowing that Aoba was making a big deal out of it.
And indeed, it wasn't just your normal Christmas party. Aoba knew how Mink had been alone all those years. He could see it in his eyes. Mink had lost his entire family, after all, and now Aoba was all he had. So he decided to throw that party, calling everyone and specifying that their priority would be to make Mink feel like he was surrounded with only love and caring. Everybody expressed that the way they could and got him presents.
Clear had given him a green sweater; Noiz helped paying for the food and got Mink nice boots; Koujaku said he would give him a free haircut and seemed really offended when Mink refused politely, but still handed over a gift card for a huge bookstore in Midorijima, knowing he and Aoba would still stay there for the rest of the week and would have time to use it; Mizuki showed up with all sorts of drinks from his bar and it was a nice party, after all.
But Aoba, who, although having made the party, didn't know what present to get, gave Mink a scarf. At first, Mink refused to even accept it, but he put it on because Aoba insisted that he did. And Aoba, of course, didn't seem to care how grumpy Mink looked. It was like he was angry all the time, but Aoba knew better. He knew that his husband was happier than he had ever been. And when no one was looking, Mink flashed a small smile that he managed to hide under the scarf, and it was a very grateful one.
