yeah it’s a bummer when a great artist stops drawing for a particular fandom, but i understand wanting to move on. i was going through their art tag trying to find the comic where tavros fell asleep in the dryer and died and gosh, all the memories.

For the fic questions thing: Scrimshaw (1, 3, 15)

1. What inspired you to write the fic this way?

I mean, it’s pretty consistent with my style. A lot of regular, predictable back and forth between perspective, a lot of in media res because other forms of intro are boring and great pacing because I was on a schedule.

3. What’s your favorite line of narration?

Probably the revolver rifle cut. I jammed so much history and culture into that paragraph I looked at it and called it a day. So it’s not a line. Sue me.

15. What did you learn from writing this fic?

Sorry mate, waaaaaaay too long ago to pull any coherent lessons from it. I like writing in fic gifting/challenges? Rose/Vriska is my secret OTP? I Have An AU Problem And I Must Scream?

11. Weirdest thing you’ve ever written/thought about writing/etc.?

Weirdest written? Dersecest probably. I mean, before homestuck incest wasn’t even a tallship poking out over the horizon of my imagination. And then Rose Lalonde and Dave Strider happened.  

Yeah, this is Homestuck, where human incest is weirder than vampire/elder god bloodplay femslash.

19. Why did you start writing?

Attention, mostly. /shrug

20. 4 sentences from your work that you’re proud of

Man, I had to go digging for these. I hate my writing 99% of the time, so its hard coming up with something that isn’t a cop out like the Spider’s At Your Door rhyme.

/two hours later: Yeah no, not doing this. Cheating and pointing at the scene in Scrimshaw where Vriska advances, staring down Terezi’s rifle.

God, that fic is still the best thing I’ve ever written, I think.
