she just used the “l” word, & evan doesn’t know how to respond to it. he’s never been told he was loved by someone. he’s not even sure if he’s capable of feeling love. he  knows he does feel something for her, but he doesn’t know what exactly that is. there’s  a mixture of emotions coursing through him.

                               mio could have easily taken it back. she                                could've told him it was all just a joke. it                                felt a bit like one. a 'monster' falls in love                                with a human, and though she's had it                                happen once before, it still doesn't feel                                very real.

"Come here,” Newman laughed as he pulled Claire closer to him again. She smiled shyly, looking up at him with red cheeks. “Am I suddenly a bad kisser?” he asked with a smile. Claire bit back her smile and shook her head. “What is it then?” Claire shushed him as she wrapped her arms around his neck tightly to pull him down to her (lack of) height. She kissed him deeply, and he responded with just as much enthusiasm. After a moment, she allowed herself to slip her tongue into his mouth. Their kiss continued, holding each other close and enjoying each others’ presence.
