14 “We had a deal!” With Marvin and Anti

Marvin panted, his glare never leaving the glitch that stood in front of him. The heat of his magic was quickly fading away, reaching his limit after what felt like hours of battle.

“Let him go.” He repeated, this time in a low growl. Anti only laughed, twirling the end of Chase’s red strings on his fingers. “We had a deal! Me over him!”

“Wha-no!” Chase yelled, tears fell freely down his cheek as he shook his head. “I’m not worth it! Don’t do this!”

“Isn’t this adorable? The Phoenix trying to play hero.” Anti said suppressing a smile, the strings around Chase snaked away making him fall on his knees. Marvin hurried to his side, wrapping his arms around his shaky frame.

“Shh, it’s going to be okay.” Marvin started, rubbing small circles on his back. With a small wave of his hand he made a small portal appear, on the other side it showed a warped version of their living room.

“Please don’t do this, Marv...” Chase half begged, half sobbed.

Marvin flashed him a broken smile, he was doing this for them. This was his destiny, his sacrifice.

“Goodbye, little bro.” He whispered before pushing him through the portal, and as soon as Chase was through he closed it.
