I had the chance last week to get one of my dreams out of my todo list and make it real: 2 days Back Packing in full autonomy. @rapha “A Day in Hell”, a bike event tribute to the wet, cold and slippery cobble Belgian races, lived up to its reputation in Düsseldorf in 2021. @schickemuetze prepared an amazing tour, starting in front of my door. A huge thank you to them! Weather was exactly like in the famous Belgian races: it did not rain during the first hour. But the remaining 4 hours, it poored relentlessly! With the wind, temperature was stuck at 4°C! Cloudy, grey and cold, atmosphere made the scenery somewhat spooky! In total, 112km, 1620m D+ were really worth it!
