Same. I’m a mama now and my very first thought when she jumped was OMG NO. THE BABY. It felt so unrealistic that a mother would choose to die and leave her child motherless.

Seriously. There were other ways to show Mary's devotion to Sherlock. She didn't have to literally take a bullet for him for us to know how much she loved him. It's just lazy, thoughtless bullshit writing all around. Personally speaking, as a woman who ADORES her friends and would do most anything for them...there are only two people in this world I would jump in front of a bullet for - my daughter and my son. Dickish as it sounds, it's the truth.

It was surreal. One minute she was in an old abandoned country graveyard, ready to do some gravestone rubbings, the next...the next she was in the same graveyard but it was very changed. Newer, if she had to pick a word for it. Neatly kept up. 

And the weeping angel statue she’d been studying - had she really seen it pull its hands away from its face and glare at her with a mouthful of shark-like teeth? - was gone.

In its place stood a man wearing clothes that made her think of a BBC period drama, staring at her with as much perplexion as she was staring at him.

“Good Gad,” he said, slowly pulling the pipe from between his lips and fixing her with the most intense blue-green eyes she’d ever seen. “How the deuce did you do that?”

Oh I was nodding along the whole time. I’m a pro editor who works on staff at ad agencies, in a specialty field. And every damn person down to the art director thinks they can edit just as well and when time is short, there’s no need to “waste” time sending it to Edit because they “read it over once and it’s fine.” This is how errors slip past and go to press and cost the agency $40k. Because they can’t believe editing is an actual fucking skill.

Ha. Ahahahahaha. Yeeeah. it's nice to be vindicated though. ;)
