having the most incredible evening
My sister didn't have a date to Homecoming, so I took her out to Cheesecake Factory instead. Then we had a bible study at a coffeeshop with live jazz music (honestly, I just wanted to make her SO happy, that she wouldn't feel like she was missing out on anything, because during my freshman year, I went without a date, in a group, and I bawled my eyes out).
Also, praise God for her having friends who are sisters-in-Christ! Someone gave her an Action Bible and I must say it is honestly like legit the COOLEST THING I'VE EVER SEEN IN MY LIFE EVER. So now she wants to find a fellowship in her high school :) SHE'S SO CLOSE GOD ARHSLGJHADSJFHADSFJHASDLKFHASDLKFH MUST BE PATIENT
At the said coffee shop with live music, I saw a girl I recognized, but didn't know very well. I had seen her at the Cause (the church I attend), newly serving and newly on the Kids team. So I went over, reintroduced myself and had an amazing conversation with her.
She's a new believer, in a band, and had been struggling, asking for God to put the right people in her life, especially because the rest of the band was Atheist.
And struggled with homosexuality.
It was unbelievable because I had prayed FOR this girl before, on request by another brother in Christ at school. Though I didn't have a face attached to the prayer, with what details he had given me, the Spirit gave me words and insight. And then I actually MET her, in person! It's MIND-BLOWING!
Praise God! For struggling with the things that we DO struggle with, even if it is continuous, clinging onto Him and being obedient to Him, so as to be a testament to others!
