have you finished the witcher s2? i want to watch it because i’m curious and would like to continue the story but s1 was so violent and gory and i barely made it through it. Is S2 as gory as S1? i need to prepare myself if it’s as bad.

I'm only about halfway through, sorry.

Violence-wise, I'm not sure. I feel like it's been a tiny bit less fighty and more character-driven, at least in this first half. I mean, there's definitely been some monster gore and monster-slaying gore. But there hasn't been a Butcher of Blavikan-like scene yet, and nobody's head has exploded. I'll probably watch the rest today and I can let you know later.

If somebody else has seen it all, feel free to chime in here.

Me: But, we stop and get out every now and then and look at things

Them: What things?

Me: I don’t know, that’s why we have to go

Them: But where are we going?

Me: that way

Them: But what’s that way?

Me: I don’t know, that’s why we have to go, too

Them: We could just fly

Me: But then we’ll miss all the stuff in the middle

Them: But it will take days

Did you ever watch Leverage? Every time I read It's Alright, We'll Be Up All Night, it reminds of me of the The Girl's Night Out Job and The Boy's Night Out Job episodes from season 4.

I did, but, I swear to God, only after I wrote that. I finally watched because I had so many people who were like “watch Leverage” in the comments. 

You’ve got all these characters, it’s just fun to break them into groups and let them have parallel wacky shenanigans, you know? Plus, I wanted to do something lighter after the time travel trauma. 

And, yeah, those were totally fun eps of Leverage.

Since I can’t remember if you’ve mentioned it before, I have 2 questions for run!verse... how much younger than Darcy is Sam? And what years were they born?

I think I’ve only mentioned those things like once, and never really specifically. 

Darcy’s birthday is November 9, 1989*  – it took me a while to decide if it should be ‘89 or ‘90, and I think ‘89 made sense at the time? Because I also put Tony’s birth year as ‘69 and then Marvel messed me up later. So, in my universe, he was born in ‘69. FIGHT ME MARVEL! 

It all made some sort of sense the first time I tried to work all that out. Plus with trying to figure out when Howard and Maria were killed (I did those numbers before CA: The Winter Soldier came out), and when Tony met Darcy’s mom, because those two things were related – Tony was in a downward spiral after the anniversary of his parent’s deaths and he drank a little too much tequila at some random party in like late January of ‘89 –  and all that. 

And Sam is three years younger than Darcy, but I never actually decided on a birthday for him. Um, let’s say March of 1993. 

If that all makes sense. 

*(Nov 9 1989 also happens to be the date the Berlin Wall came down) (though that was more of a coincidence having to do with the math of me trying to beat the timeline into a workable, sensible shape)
