Baobhan Sith (baa-van shee) • In Scottish mythology, a Baobhan Sith is a female creature which feeds on blood; similar to that of faeries or vampires. They are beautiful creatures who stay near dark and deep woods, and prey on young travellers who pass by. Usually wearing a green or white dress, the baobhan Sith use their beauty to lure travellers to secluded areas in order to feed, before the actual act of feeding, they would ask the traveler to dance, preferring to catch their prey off guard. Like a vampire, a baobhan Sith cannot withstand sunlight, and will return to their graves before sunrise. If a baobhan Sith kills a woman, that woman would live out the rest of her nights as a baobhan Sith, herself. _
