"Was there something that I could do for you?"
25
25. A serious lie is told.
"Now Nor, just listen to me for a moment. I know you’re itching to go out and prove yourself, but you’re still young, and you’ve still got plenty of training to-"
The Orc is interrupted by practically a snarl falling from the young Argonian’s lips. “Three years, Dura. Three years of training day in and day out by your hand and others. And I have still yet to be sent on a contract of my own. I am sick of not being able to pull my weight.” Nor’s arms cross over his chest. “You know as well as any of the Family how capable I am. And still you won’t let me?”
Dura lets out a grumble of her own. “And you have yet to leave your teens. You are young, and rash, and capable yes. But I do not think you are prepared enough yet to handle a contract on your own. Give it another year, alright? Then we can talk about setting you up on a job of your own.”
A loud growl. “That’s bull and you know it.” Yellow-slitted eyes narrow as the Argonian glares back at his mentor. “Surely I am not so indispensable of a person to keep me around, especially when I have yet to prove myself to the rest of the Family. How much longer will they continue to tolerate me?” Another narrowing of his eyes. “And what happened to one more dead initiate that’s a little younger than the rest?”
For a moment Dura’s eyes go wide in shock. He had actually remembered that? But even Nor should have realized by now that…
An almost imperceptible softening of features, followed by a drooping of Dura’s shoulders. “No… No, I suppose you’re right. What is one more dead initiate…” A tired sigh leaves her lips, one hand rubbing at the assassin’s forehead. For all of the Argonian’s intelligence, sometimes Nor seemed to say things that were admittedly not very smart. Or, at least very hard for the Orc to hear. “Very well, I shall go see the Speaker, see if they have a contract you can take.”
☁!
Lovely on the eyes. Suspicious all the same.

She does have a rather nice ass... Hmmmm.
"I could watch you fight all day long—the skill you display, the form, how the light plays on your muscles… I mean… yes. Well done. With the fighting."
"You know." Korgul said, leaning against the side of the cage as he peeled the fighting wraps off his hand. This was one of the reasons he liked this ity. A true fighting pit underneath the prim and proper. He inspeted his swollen knuckles for a moment, shaking his hand as he looked back up at her.
"Most people come down here to watch someone get their ass kicked, or to make a little gold. Feels a little weird that you make me feel like you're watchin' just me instead."

"I’m just the right size to kiss her. I don’t even need to make that much of an effort."
"What did you just say?"
"I thought um I meant uh…" he stammered nervously trying to collect his thoughts and fix his embarrassing blunder, "that came out very wrong."

"Whoops!" He did an about face, face heating up as he started to head for the door again. Must have been the wrong room.
"Nice ass by the way."
