Orcs In Rubber Suits: An Adventure in Fashion

About two years ago (during Alluvia, our long-running 5e campaign) our characters strolled into a department store looking for functional rubber suits so that we could safely enter a power station (that was partly powered by a Thunderbird, which we found out later).

My character, Bruno, is basically French, Somnolenterra being the Europe parallel, and Fantasy Parisian fashion is All The Rage here in Alluvia, so the store clerks bombarded him with questions. If this guy wants a rubber suit, that must be what everyone over there is wearing! It’s SomnoFashion! He utterly failed his Charisma check to convince them that he just needed a rubber suit so that he didn’t get fried to bits. Nobody wears this stuff, jeez.

Eventually this new “”””Alluvian””” trend makes it back to Somnolenterra, which we found out last session. Only the wealthy elites wear them, of course. It’s Haute Couture.

Some more Alluvia sketchbook doodles. We (accidentally-on-purpose) started a magic Waldorf school, but we’re just glorified camp counselors, and one of the kids almost ate our druid, Speck.

Speck was having hair trouble so Bruno got her a hat and a "hog hair brush" for her birthday. That pig was a brush when he bought it and so he never bought anything in There ever again.

I’ve been working every day so drawing is hard, but I doodled 3 of Bruno’s 5 siblings.

18: What kind of underwear does your OC wear?

Long johns and small clothes are p popular in this time period/setting! Underwear is weird.

24: What does your OC smell like?

Bruno smells very strongly of musk, coal, iron, and river mud. He takes a dip in the river at least every other morning and washes with soap but he lives on the ~*wild frontier*~ and there’s only so much you can do.

36: What turns your OC on?

Bruno doesn’t have a very high libido so stuff like that comes as a surprise to him lmao. He definitely has a thing for people who are confident enough to be open and honest!

41: What is your OCs motto about life?

“The Stronger Force Always Wins.” A very militaristic and nationalist view that has changed quite a bit since he deserted the army. “…But there are many different kinds of strength.”
