UNDER THE MISTLETOE | @allybond | NOT ACCEPTING
NO ONE really wanted to take the decorations down, for the New Years approached quickly, bringing with it the thought of what the two, no, the country would do next. The war had ended just a month ago, just before the Yuletide. Thus, Kotaru and Sharena had been quickly married, though in a wedding beyond either’s wildest imagination.
THUS, they rest in the gardens of the palace, dressed in pretty robes and one blanket drawn ‘round their shoulders. The hustle, the inane bustle, it was all something they needed a break from. Gods, they loved their new life, but it was loud, and Kotaru, well, Kotaru was happy to find some silence.
HOWEVER, Sharena called them over, her voice lilting like a song. Kotaru skips up, and draws the blanket tighter around them. There stands Sharena, her regal visage catching their attention. Of course, her hands are behind her back. ❛ M-My love, what are you doing? ❜
SHARENA giggled, and revealed what she was hiding. A last sprig of mistletoe from the Yuletide decorations. ❛ Look what I found! ❜ her smile was eyecatching, beautiful, and warm. Kotaru leans up on their tippie toes, before kissing Sharena’s cheek.
❛ THAT’S what you wanted, yes, my love? ❜
