The thin coating in the dim and minimal light within the underdark was also more easily passed off as a similar shimmer from body oils to keep the exact source better hidden

As well as the note for how he got around it from not wanting to limit how much he did or didn't use his psionics #in spite of how comfortable they often were (including frequently being more comfortable than speaking esp when going non-verbal #for periods of time )#Would have liked to keep in the grey/grey-blue range but hey the idea hopefully works #esp the last with the jewelry

I think it's safe to say at this point that Ilztaun is aware that Menzo was more extreme than most other Drow settlements. (Or as Mog Described it The Drow Vatican ) and that he can come off as intense to other Drow when not actively pulling himself back hard.

However he does still tend to treat it as the centre of the world and standard that things are held to.

Why is your character’s eye color the way it is? Is it random, or not?

His having red eyes is far from random but not particularly special, being the most common Drow eye colour.

However, when purple for a time does tend to avoid looking in mirrors longer than he needs to for disliking his eye being off.

Who gave your character their name?

Likely his mother, Shrinia (based on the drow naming table means mystic dancer.)

Does your character have tattoos? What do they mean?

He has, as far as has been planned out a snake tattoo on his right hand, as a nod to his preference to poisons though also a slight bit of misdirection since, while he's taught himself to be ambidextrous, he is still stronger in his left hand.

He also has a psionic seal on his left palm put there late act 2 which does look like a tattoo.
