This fic. I swear. It was supposed to be 12k, tops, three chapters, done. Then chapter 3 became 10k and got split in two. Then chapter 5 materialized from nowhere. She debated whether she should try to have sex with two people, but decided against it. Rumi frowns. Mira probably didn't even take the women she's having sex with out to dinner. She probably just swaggered up to them and said something really, really cool, like she always does, in that husky voice, like she didn't even care what they said because she knew they wanted her, and of course they would, because it's Mira, who wouldn't want to have sex with Mira?
It's not a competition. It's OK if Rumi has to take a woman out to dinner before sex. It's OK if Rumi only has sex with one person at a time, instead of two, or however many Mira has sex with at once. More than three people seems like a lot, even three can be hard to manage, not that Rumi would ever complain about it, she doesn't mind a degree of difficulty, but she imagines that with four people it's probably just two sets of two people having sex, and maybe they trade off sometimes? She briefly considers what it would be like to have sex with Mira in front of the two women she's been … seeing recently. She'd show them a thing or two. Or three.
She shakes her head. It's not time to get distracted by thoughts of Mira's long legs and strong arms and perfect bedroom eyes and how hot she looks when she wears her glasses naked, or whether the fact that Zoey hasn't been as public with whomever she's seeing (she's obviously seeing someone, because she's Zoey, and Zoey is amazing and probably has people falling over to ask her to marry them every time she goes to the grocery store) means that Zoey is actually serious about whomever she's dating for more than sex. The thought is painful enough that it almost makes her rethink her decision not to ask them to take her back, to fight for them. Almost. She knows they're better off without her.
