ALNINO/RENAPACE/DJWIFI MY BELOVED.
...so we see the chat blanc parallel especially with the heartbroken lover being akumatized and the loved one wiping away the tear, right?
BUT ALYA'S LOVE WAS WHAT HELPED NINO BREAK THE HOLD. It was her reassurance to him of the truth.
So... this is totally paralleling how Marinette will save Adrien from Chat Blanc next time, right? RIGHT??? Like imagine if Marinette had had real feelings for Chat in Chat Blanc and she had talked him down and broken through.. except Hawkmoth is dead in that AU so who REALLY knows?
But in the meantime, building up that bond of love and trust between Chat Noir and Ladybug is actually the best thing to insulate Chat Noir from becoming Chat Blanc. So that she can at least be better at getting through to him if he IS akumatized again. Like... keeping him in the dark and sidelining him (not on purpose but as a consequence of keeping things a secret) isn't gonna help. it's just making him more upset. She may not know it, but his akuma was ultimately caused by Hawkmoth being his own dad. It wasn't because he knew her identity. But when it hits the ceiling, he's gonna need her one way or another.
Meanwhile Alya and Nino are out here showing that love overcomes fear and anger and pain and that trust and honesty are building blocks of a good, healthy relationship.
The night before Nino's wedding
Adrien : Who do you love more? Do you love her more than me?
Nino : Yes
Adrien : Its a simple yes or no, Nino!
Nino : Yes
Adrien : Ask me who I like more? You or Marinette
Nino : * sighs * Who do you like more, me or Marinette—
Adrien : Marinette! Shocked? Surprised? You gonna cry? Well don't! Because that's the way it is now. Marinette is my entire life. And that's how I want you to feel about Alya
Nino : I do —
Adrien : I give you permission
Queen Bee Is A Lesbian And She’ll Fight You. (A ML Pride One Shot/Drabble)
Pride was possibly the best thing the inhabitants of Paris knew. Parades, confetti, balloons, the streets full of happy people flying flags of all different colors. People lined the sidewalks, spent months building floats and planning outfits, covered their faces in paint and let themselves be free on the day of the Pride parade.
Miss Bustier’s class was no exception.
Everyone was excited, joined together in the lobby of Mayor Bourgeois’ hotel. Chloé had invited them all, too excited by her newly found sexuality to be off putting today. She’s surprised them all last week when she stood up and shouted out that she was a lesbian, and would gladly fight anyone who tried to say she was wrong.
Of course, nobody had. Half the class had some sort of pride flag hanging in their room, and gladly welcomed Chloé to the community. Needless to say, it improved her attitude a little bit.
Chloé had surprised them all again when she descended the stairs, a multi-shade pink flag hanging from her shoulders like a cape, and trailing behind her elegantly. Her hair was down, and she looked genuinely happy. It helped having Sabrina at her side, her own rainbow one tied around herself with a pansexual scarf.
Nino gave them both a thumbs up from the couch, his face being painted with small pink, yellow, and blue dots by Alya. His shirt proclaimed that he loved hearts, not parts, and his smile was brighter than any other day. He’d even replaced his normal hat with a pride themed one to match his shirt and face.
Alya herself wore a bisexual flag shirt, and had a scarf with ‘ladybug-sexual’ written around it in small prints.
Marinette and Adrien stood next to them, Adrien’s scarf matching Alya’s, intentionally, and his shirt a mix of white, black, purple, and greys. His face matched Nino’s with the colors proudly smearing across his cheeks in lines rather than dots.
Marinette chose to match Alya with a bisexual shirt, but had added paw prints across her nose in the same colors. The reference to Chat Noir and Rena Rouge with the paws wasn’t lost on Adrien or Alya, but neither mentioned it in embarrassment.
Juleka and Rose both were posing for pictures together, Rose with a large pink, purple, and blue flag in her hands, and Juleka with rainbow paint down her arms and around her neck in splatters. Their hands were squished together, smearing paint, but neither seemed to care.
Alix took the pictures, her usual helmet and rollerblades replaced with rainbow ones despite only being an ally. She was too happy to support her friends, especially Nathaniel and his new boyfriend, Marc, who proudly wore matching rainbow flags. Nathaniel had a black, white, gray, and purple shirt, and was so wrapped up in Marc, Alix snapped a few pictures on them as well.
Ivan and Mylène were talking with Max, laughing about the fun that was sure to come. Ivan wore a shirt proclaiming him as a proud ally boyfriend of a trans woman, meaning Mylène, and Mylène herself proudly wore a dress made of the trans pride colors. Her face was bright, and covered in painted stars to match the dress. Max wore their flag proudly as a cape, along with their robot companion carrying a little matching flag beside them.
Luka showed up after a half hour of everyone mingling, and was immediately pulled back towards Marinette and Adrien, the two both excited to see him. He smiled gently, happy Gabriel let Adrien come, and pulled his scarf out of his jacket pocket, draping it around his shoulders. The pink, blue, and green stood out on him, and both Adrien and Marinette looked completely absorbed by his presence.
Kim finally appeared from his bathroom break, dressed in a rainbow tracksuit nobody had expected. Of course, everyone loved it and Kim flourished under the attention. He was an ally, but, like Alix, was so very proud of everyone around him he had to go all out.
Lila, surprisingly, sashayed into the lobby ten minutes after Luka with her entire body covered in pinks, blues, and whites. Her make-up, nails, and jewelry was all themed after the flag hanging around her waist. Even her shoelaces were colored after it. She wore a confident face, but everyone noticed the way she tensed when eyes went to her, and relaxed when everyone merely accepted it and treated her the same way.
Marinette even walked over, and offered to take a picture for her. She didn’t want to fight today, so Lila kept her comments to herself and let Marinette snap a photo.
“Okay, it’s time to get moving everyone!” Alya called, putting away the paint she had used. Everyone brightened, if it was even possible, and began moving towards the doors. Outside, crowds raged and confetti rained.
Mylène and Ivan went first, heading out to hop onto the private float the Bourgeois family had reserved. Max and Kim were next, followed by Luka, his hands gripping both Adrien and Marinette’s with a fiercely loving pride. Chloé ushered the rest of them out, couples holding tightly to each other, and looped her arm around Sabrina, taking a deep breath before they went to join the parade.
Alix skated around the float as they moved, throwing beads and candy from her bag. Kim ran with her, dancing to the music playing around them.
The class yelled, and cheered, and laughed as the crowds screamed back, the colors and the warmth of it all overwhelming.
Chloé hadn’t planned this when she came out last week, but she was so, so happy to be surrounded by people who wanted to share the love as she did. Even if she didn’t necessarily act like it, she did value people’s opinions, and her pride was always a vulnerable spot for her.
Of course, she hadn’t invited Lila. It was mean, and yeah Chloé kind of felt bad, but she hadn’t. Seeing Lila strut up into her father’s hotel like that, wearing her pride and trying so hard not to look like she was scared, Chloé felt an overwhelming sense of wanting. She wanted to go back and invite Lila correctly. She wanted to make sure Lila knew they may not agree with her lies, but they would always support her identity.
Looking at Lila sitting at the edge of the float, Chloé moved towards her, whispering to Sabrina that she would be back in a moment. She pulled Lila to her feet, wrapped her arms around her briefly as she could, and handed her a tiny little rainbow flag. Lila looked shocked, then confused, and then, fond. She gave the little flag a wave, and smiled gratefully.
Sabrina welcomed her girlfriend back to the top of the float, and grinned at her, proud of the way she’d handled Lila’s appearance, and pressed a kiss against her cheek.
Alya took pictures, cheering and dancing to the music. Nino moved with her, joined by Nathaniel and Marc, who looked shy, but too happy not to enjoy themselves.
Max let their robot fly around above the crowd, flag waving in the wind, and tossed candy towards the people, Ivan and Mylène doing the same on the other side. Juleka and Rose jumped around, swinging each other in some kind of dance on they knew, and Luka cheered his sister on before being pulled around by his partners, who wanted to enjoy their day together.
Chloé watched them, basking in the glow of everyone’s happiness. It’d taken years to accept herself and now, looking from her girlfriend, to her friends, and to the crowds, she didn’t regret any of it.

Hurts Like Hell (An Alya Centered AlyaXLadybug One Shot)
Alya was not, is not, and will never be, an idiot. In fact, she’s fairly smarter than her surrounding classmates. Of course, they all were smart in their own ways, and she appreciated all of them, even Chloé, who was always coming up with clever ways to annoy others.
The point was, Alya knew she was smart enough to face anything, so why was the question of Ladybug’s identity so impossible to decipher? I mean, she was a person, an average Parisian who walked the streets with her every day. Alya had probably bumped shoulders with her before without knowing, so why didn’t she see it?
She’d seen right through Carapace, and, well, Queen Bee would have been easy to guess if given Chloé hadn’t broadcast her identity like she did.
And, while she also hadn’t confirmed Chat Noir’s civilian identity, Alya didn’t run a blog about him for years, didn’t constantly wonder who he was every day for hours. Alya had her as her phone background, had spoken to her multiple times, even held a private interview with her!
Ladybug had known who she was from day one, but Alya had no clue who was behind that mask. It was driving her mad.
Alya traced the drawing in the corner of her notebook, her face staring back with the perfectly captured twinkle in her eye. As previously stated, Alya was smart. She knew her frustration was partly motivated by these feelings for Ladybug she’d been holding in. Part of her was hoping that, if she knew who was behind the mask, that they would fade, and she could forget about the way that smile made her feel inside.
She felt guilty, harboring the feelings while dating Nino, but it wasn’t like he didn’t know. He’d always known, even before she told him. But, it was a fair trade given his huge crush on Chat Noir that the DJ was still refusing the acknowledge. Alya knew people too well to believe when he denied it, face dusted with a blush she rarely saw.
The bell rang, and Alya turned her head, catching Marinette’s startled expression. There was dried drool on her chin, and her hair was mused from leaning on her arm. Marinette quickly wiped it away, trying to wake herself up, and Alya just grinned, pretending she hadn’t zoned out the last twenty minutes of class too.
School was over, and now she was free to return home and throw herself into her blog, trying yet again to see behind a mask that may never reveal its owner. Well, that would be the case if an akuma hadn’t appeared between her house and school.
Not that it was unwelcomed, of course. Watching Ladybug in action, as well as recording for her blog, and possibly getting her miraculous again was always a bonus to her day.
It was an easy battle, one that sadly did not require the use of the fox hero. Alya watched the heroes fly away, having done their duty, and flipped the camera around to end the video. As usual, she raced home to transfer it to her computer, and uploaded it to the blog.
Alya watched it again, again, and again, pausing at the frames Ladybug was standing still enough for a clear shot of her. Alya thought up every person she knew, tried to fill in the blanks with anyone she’d passed on the street, but nothing. But, at the same time, the feeling of something so...familiar lurked behind that magical mask.
Alya couldn’t shake the feeling that she knew who Ladybug was, but she just couldn’t put her finger on the right person.
After dinner, Alya called Nino, asked him about the newest post and if he’d gotten home alright. He was fine, and chatted her up about the video, knowing she was all too excited to discuss it. Alya saw through him though, and poked a little fun at the good shots of Chat Noir she’d gotten, knowing her boyfriend had definitely liked them.
Alya wondered if she’d ever actually know. It was true that she dedicated a good amount of time to Ladybug, but she knew that it wouldn’t happen forever, that she would one day defeat Hawkmoth and would no longer use her miraculous. Alya just hoped that Ladybug would trust her enough to tell her one day, when it was safe for her to do so.
And, yeah, she knew Marinette was right, that finding her identity could very well put Alya and Ladybug herself into a lot of danger, and she would never want anyone to get hurt because she was just too curious, but she couldn’t fight off the feeling of just needing to try.
Her balcony doors opened mid-conversation, and Alya nearly dropped the phone in surprise. Nino’s worry echoed in her ear, and she assured him she was okay before explaining that she had to go, and would call him the next day.
Chat Noir stood on her balcony, hands still extended towards the glass doors, face twisted in surprise as if he hadn’t thought through what he was doing. Alya ended the call, and set the phone down, raising an eyebrow.
Chat relaxed his posture, lowering his arms and releasing his confused expression. “Alya.”
“Chat Noir. What are you doing here?” Alya replied cautiously. Chat didn’t know her identity, so it was odd for him to just appear like this. “Is Ladybug okay? Is there an akuma nearby?”
“I need you to stop looking for Ladybug’s identity.” He frowned like it hurt to ask this of her, and Alya tensed, taking a step back and looking towards her room.
Stop looking for Ladybug? How did he even know she was still adamant about the search? Alya kept it to a minimum on the blog, mentioning often enough to keep the interest of others up, but not so much as to be the only thing she cared about.
“I’m not…” Alya took a deep breath, steadying herself, and faced him again. “Don’t you want to know? She’s your partner, your best friend!”
“Of course I wanna know!” Chat exclaimed, sighing as he ran a hand over his face. “I’m sorry, I shouldn’t yell.”
Alya looked to the other rooms, and relaxed when nobody seemed to stir.
“Alya, I know you’re not doing it to spread the news, or to risk your safety, but please, just stop.” She turned back slowly, not wanting to face the music. “I talked to Ladybug, and you can’t tell her I was here, but she’s worried about you.”
“Me? But, she…” Didn’t speak to her, hasn’t said anything, didn’t know how much time she really spent looking for her. “I don’t want her to get hurt.”
“She doesn’t want that for you either, and neither do I.” Chat took a step forward, and placed his hand on Alya’s shoulder. She relaxed under the somehow familiar touch. “I know how you feel Alya, it drives me crazy too. I mean, I’m in love with a girl I barely know behind her mask. But, it keeps us safe. If either of us were to know, we’d have to give up everything.”
Alya knew that, knew all of this, so why was it so hard to let go?
“My Lady is strong, but one of her weaknesses is other people. Your safety is putting a weight on her that is draining her by the day.” Chat admitted, a worried look in his eyes. Alya felt her heart being squeezed. “So, please, just take a break. Give her time to breathe, and to not worry.”
“Chat, I know you’re doing this for her, so, okay. I can’t promise I’ll stop completely, but I’ll take a step back, and focus on other things. For now, at least.” Alya wanted to be sick, felt ill to her stomach. “Can you go, please? I need to be alone.”
Chat reached for her again, but recoiled when she flinched. She felt guilt well up in her throat, but she knew if he touched her, she break.
Chat bowed and took his leave, propelling off the balcony and into the night. Alya took a shaky breath and stepped forward, closing the doors tight and locking them for safe measure. She leaned, pressing her forehead to the cool metal and glass, and let a tear slide down her face.
This was for Ladybug, for her safety and happiness. Alya would let it go, but that didn’t mean giving up on the girl she loved wouldn’t still feel like ripping her heart out. She knew that. She was smart after all.

Thanks Babe. (An Alnino/DjWifi One Shot)
School field trips were always fun for Nino. He liked to stare at cool art, and hang around with his close friends. Adrien rarely got told no when it came to trips, surprising everyone since his dad was so strict, but it was school sanctioned and mostly happened when school took place. It was nice to see his best bud more often.
The sights were always cool. Nino lived in Paris, but, while he got to see the sights from a distance, there was something about really taking the information in that just inspired him. It was like how he made his music, taking in the way he saw the world and expressing it without words.
And, sure, he’d gotten akumatized while on a school trip before, but that had been with Alya, so it wasn’t like he was violently against them. One bad incident wasn’t gonna kill him, especially with getting to witness Paris’ superheroes kiss on top of the building last time. Alya’s blog had blown up for the fiftieth time, and she was so happy. How could Nino be upset?
“Are you ready to go?” Adrien knocked his knuckles against Nino’s bathroom stall, and startled the boy inside. He gulped, and fixed his tie.
Today, they were attending a fashion show Chloé had managed to get the entire class tickets for. Nino was still surprised by it, but who was he to complain. Well, maybe just a bit. They were all instructed to change into their finest clothes after lunch, so here he was, changing in a stall.
“Yeah, I’m done.” Nino took a breath, shoving his clothes into his bag and placing his hat back on his head. His usual bulky headphones were replaced with earbuds, not wanting to draw attention to himself. He stepped out of the stall, and looked to the other boys.
Everyone, even Kim and Ivan, were dressed in black and grey suits, some more nervous than others, and chatting while fixing their ties and vests. Adrien looked comfortable in his own black suit, and Nino had the distinct feeling of deja vu, but he couldn’t place it, so he shrugged it off.
“You clean up nice.” Nathaniel looked up from his phone, giving Nino a weak smile. It was clear he was uncomfortable.
“Thanks dude.” Nino swallowed, looking away from Adrien. Whoever decided he was allowed to wear a suit clearly was trying to assassinate Nino.
What could he say, Adrien was hot. He was a model. Nino was his best friend, but he wasn’t blind.
“It’s almost time to meet up.” Adrien chimed in, turning away from the mirror.
“After you, then. Man, I can’t believe Chloé of all people did this for all of us.” Nino followed Adrien out of the bathroom, Nathaniel and the others trickling out behind them.
“She’s making an effort to change.” Adrien hummed, playing with something on his wrist. Nino sideeyed it, and caught a flash of one of the charms. Ah, it was Marinette’s bracelet she’d made him. “It’s nice seeing her be a better person like when we were kids.”
“How long have you two been friends, anyway?” They headed down the stairs, moving towards the front entrance.
“A couple years.”
“Adrien!” Nino stiffened, and then relaxed a bit. Lila Rossi. Truth be told, he wasn’t sure how he felt about her. Everyone seemed smitten with her, almost bowing to her, but Marinette had expressed doubt in her. Nino didn’t like being suspicious of friends, but Marinette wouldn’t lie about something like Lila being a liar.
Adrien stiffened, the girl slinking between him and Nino to wrap herself around his arm. “Oh, hey Lila.”
Nino glanced towards the entrance spotting Marinette and Chloé waiting, a few feet apart but both glaring at Lila with a fierce emotion he could feel a few yards away.
Marinette had her hair up, and wore a custom Chat Noir themed dress she’d shown him and Alya a few weeks ago. She was really pretty. No wonder Nino had liked her before. Of course, Alya was his whole world now, but he could admire his friend.
Chloé on the other hand, she was different kind of pretty. Her outfit was obviously modeled after her Queen Bee persona, and she wore a similar clip in her hair, but had the strands loose and flowing instead of in a ponytail for once. Nino would complement her to her face if he wasn’t worried about being insulted.
“Hey Marinette!” Adrien brightened as they approached the doors, and her glare dropped, replaced with a bright blush and a smile. Chloé followed in suit, without a blush, when Adrien turned to her. “Hey Chloé.”
“Cute dress. Last season, but cute.” Lila blinked, sugary smile on her lips.
“Marinette made it herself last month.” Nino threw an arm around the girl, pulling her into a hug. “It looks amazing on you, dude! I told you it would!”
“Thanks Nino!” Marinette flushed when Adrien admired the dress, and pointed out her bracelet, the matching one Adrien had made her. “Oh, yeah..”
Nino drifted from the conversation, looking around for his girlfriend. He found her outside, talking to Miss Bustier. Nino felt his face warm, spine tingling and breath catching.
Her dress was the same style as Marinette’s, but was Carapace themed just for them. Of course, Marinette didn’t know Nino was the turtle themed hero, but Alya did. She’d even gotten a pin shaped like a turtle to hold her hair to the side.
When she turned and caught Nino’s eye, Alya smiled as if she’d always looked that gorgeous, and nearly murdered him right then and there. He swallowed hard, pushing away his panic, and made his way to her side, arm sliding into place around her shoulders. She looked so pretty, and she smiled at him just so.
“Yo, Adrien! Come on.” Nino called back towards the group. Everyone filed into the courtyard, the bus on the curb waiting. Everyone was buzzing with excitement, some more than others.
Adrien had detached himself from Lila, and drifted closer to Marinette. Chloé’s fingers were twisted into Sabrina’s, and stood as a barrier between Adrien and Lila.
“Wow, Alya! You look nice.” Adrien grinned at them, and Alya just winked at Nino.
“I guess you could say Carapace is my second favorite superhero. Second only to Ladybug, but I didn’t want to be that cliche. Yet.”
Marinette giggled, and reached out to fluff the dress. “It’s a little sloppy. I didn’t have a lot of time.”
“Girl, you know it looks fantastic. And, it’s already on the blog.”
“You made that one too? Wow, Marinette. You’re really incredible.” Adrien praised. Miss Bustier started ushering the towards the bus, but Nino still had time to catch Marinette’s face burning red. “Hey, wanna sit next to me? I’d love to hear more about your designs for the heros!”
“He’s gonna kill her.” Alya hummed, moving in front of him as they climbed into the bus.
“No doubt.” Nino chuckled. “They look really good together, though.”
Alya took a window seat, Nino falling into the one beside her, and shrugged, pulling her phone out. “They really do. I can’t believe how long it’s taking them to actually get together.” Nino didn’t respond, just slid his hand into her empty one. “I mean, she’s a blushing mess around him.”
Marinette entered the bus, Adrien right behind her, and they took the two seats in front of Alya and Nino, too caught up in each other to notice their best friends behind them.
“I don’t know, Alya. Maybe it’s like LadyNoir?” Nino suggested in terms he knew his girlfriend would understand. Her eyes lit up with stars, and he felt like he actually might have died if he’d been standing.
“You’re right! Oh, it’s even cuter now! Thanks, babe.” Alya frantically began typing with one hand, the other tightly squeezing Nino’s, and he took a deep breath. Her use of pet names of any kind were rare, and mostly saved for teasing, but they always held endearment, that made his heart sore.
“Anytime, Fox.” Nino hummed, knowing she was too absorbed to hear him, and pulled out his own phone.

She Asked About You Too. (A ML One Shot)
Nino was hiding, and he wasn’t embarrassed about that in the slightest. When akumas ravage your city on a daily basis, you learn how to sacrifice your pride for your safety really fast. So, yeah, Nino was hiding behind one of the benches in the park, the newest akuma broadcasting her plans from atop the fountain.
He had to wonder if Ladybug would need his help this time. She was nowhere to be seen, nor was Chat Noir, which was scary. Nino was always worried about akumas. Not only did he fight them, his girlfriend was always chasing them around for her blog.
Don’t get Nino wrong, he would never ask Alya to stop. He sees the spark in her when she shows him what she captured, the smile she wears when she dodges a close call with ease when an akuma focuses on her. She was so brave. Nino was smitten, but that wasn’t the point right now.
“So, come on Ladybug! Bring me your miraculous!” The akuma yelled louder now, Nadja Chamack and her cameraman broadcasting her message. With a moment of silence, she growled and turned her weapon, a long staff, on Nadja herself. “Fine then! We’ll do this the hard way!”
“Not on my watch!” Ladybug’s yo-yo shot out of nowhere, wrapping around the akuma’s arm and yanking it back, the weapon firing backwards. The superhero landed a few feet from Nino, not noticing him, and faced down the villain.
“You need to learn who’s garden you’re in, Ladybug!” The akuma ripped the yo-yo off her, and directed the staff towards her. Chat Noir darted in front of her, his own staff raised, and went in for the fight. Ladybug backed up, eyes narrowed as she tracked the fight.
“Ladybug!” Nino whisper-shouted, gaining her attention. She gasped, gesturing for him to move. “Her akuma is in her other hand! You’ll have to get her to drop it!”
She looked grateful for the information, but quickly disappeared from sight as Chat Noir smashed into her, knocked back by the akuma. Nino winced, having distracted her, and turned to get eyes on the akuma. If only Wayzz was here.
“Chat Noir!” Ladybug called, his form rushing back into the battle. “Keep her busy!”
Nino tensed. He’d heard that before. Ladybug was going to get help.
“On it, My Lady! Hurry!” Chat pushed against the akuma, attacking relentlessly as the purple haze appeared, Hawkmoth speaking to his puppet. No doubt he would be trying to see where Ladybug went, but Chat Noir was interrupting their conversation too much. Nino smirked, proud of how smart the feline themed hero was.
Speaking of smart, Nino needed to get out of there. The area was too dangerous for him, especially if Ladybug decided to give him his miraculous. He’d have nowhere to transform safely.
Chat Noir was running the villain around, so Nino moved the opposite way, ducking through trees, bushes, and sneaking behind the other benches. He had to move slow, and careful. If he accidentally got hit by a stray blast, or caught the akuma’s attention, Chat Noir would try to protect him and get hurt.
Nino paused near a bench, looking up as the battle took a turn. The akuma gained the upper hand, knocking the baton out of the hero’s hands, leaving him without a weapon. He looked worried, but called upon his power, striking the ground and doing a, unnecessary in Nino’s opinion, back handspring out of the way.
“Now!” Ladybug shouted, descending from the sky and taking aim with her yo-yo. The akuma was off balance from the cataclysm, but defended herself with ease. Nino couldn’t watch, turning away with fear trickling down his spine. And then, he saw her.
Rena Rouge dropped down the same way Ladybug had, eyes wide with confidence and battle stance prepared. She touched down, tucking into a roll and drawing her weapon with an almost practiced ease. Chat Noir retrieved his baton, and Ladybug backed off, letting Rena rush in with Chat.
The ladybug themed hero turned, catching sight of him. “Nino! Get out of here!”
Rena Rouge and Chat Noir both turned, looking in their direction with some emotion Nino didn’t have time to see before they’d gotten blasted back. Rena smashed into a tree nearby, and Nino flinched at the sound before running through the entrance to the park, heading for cover by a flipped car.
He couldn’t see the fight anymore, but it didn’t matter once the fight continued through the park and into the street, flipping cars and smashing lights against buildings.
“Rena! Distract her!” Ladybug yelped, dodging a blow and rolling out of the way. Chat Noir jumped back, allowing Rena to use her power quickly to block the akuma from figuring out where they were.
Ladybug caught Nino’s eye from behind another car, hiding as well. She looked around frantically, and Nino assumed she was trying to find a way to get him out of the area, but let his jaw drop when she placed the box on the ground behind the car, nodding to him.
Ladybug jumped the car, racing towards battle again, and Nino rushed towards where she’d been, hastily pulling the box open and releasing Wayzz. He secured the miraculous with a shaky breath, and transformed.
“On your left!” Carapace rushed past Chat Noir blocking blows with his shell shield, and looking back at him. “Your gonna transform back! Go, dude! We’ve got this!”
Chat Noir looked conflicted, but ultimately took off to conceal his identity.
Rena helped him block blows as Ladybug summoned her Lucky Charm, and awaited her plan. The villain grew more and more angry, attacking fiercely and growling at them to submit to Hawkmoth. Carapace took a blow to the head, flying backwards and narrowly missing Ladybug as she constructed her plan.
Rena growled, attacking right back twice as hard as before. Carapace stood back up, unsteady from his injury, and tried to focus his vision to see what was going on. He gasped as the villain batted Rena’s weapon away and smacked her into a building.
The fox hero crumpled, and Ladybug paused in fear. “Rena!”
“Ladybug!” Carapace yelped, diving towards her and throwing up a Shelter. The akuma fell backwards, surprised by the defense. “Get her!”
The shelter fell and Ladybug raced forwards, not hesitating, and used the makeshift staff to knock away the akuma’s weapon. Her yo-yo twisted around the other hand, and she forced the akuma to the ground, prying open her hand and smashing the pendant inside.
The akuma flew off, captured by Ladybug as Carapace watched from a few feet away. He turned, looking at Rena, and swallowed hard. The charm was tossed into the air, and everything was surrounded by magic fixing it all.
Carapace grinned as his injury was fixed, and Rena stood up like she’d never felt better. They met, knocking their fists together with a small hesitation with Chat gone. “Pound it.”
“Rena, with me. Carapace, go hide. I’ll be right back!” Ladybug turned, launching onto a building. Rena looked at the turtle themed hero for a second longer before her necklace beeped again and she followed Ladybug.
Carapace did as told, ducking into an alleyway and waiting for Ladybug to come find him. He detransformed when it was safe, and sat down, Wayzz coming to rest on his shoulder. He looked happy.
Nino played some music through his headphones, letting the kwami enjoy it. It was almost a half hour later when Ladybug finally landed in front of him, relief spreading through her face. She must have recharged before coming to find him.
“Sorry, Nino. Are you alright?”
“Yeah, no worries dude.” Nino fist bumped his kwami, switching off the music and handing over the miraculous without a second thought.
“Thank you. Try to stay away from future battles. You could get hurt.” Ladybug frowned.
“Well, you’ll be there to save me, but I’ll try!” He laughed, and then swallowed hard. “By the way, is Rena okay? I can’t really ask myself, so…”
“She’s okay. Better than ever, really!” Ladybug smiled, a look of mischief on her face. She tossed her yo-yo up, and turned to speak before taking off. “She asked about you, too. See you later, Nino!”
