[ INBOX ] Lillie stops in front of the professor's porch, squeezing her backpack straps nervously. She hadn't seen him since she left for Kanto, and most of her time had been spent with Moon. She steps up onto the porch and reaches out to knock on the door, waiting for him to answer. | @alolillic
the professor was lost in his thoughts, even distracted, when the knocks on his door snapped him back into reality. he was thinking of way too many things at once, without a clear line connecting the dots; a method so confusing and terrible to making him feel a headache developing. the knocks make him jump on the chair in fright, but, he finds himself considering, they were probably the most useful thing that could happen. maybe.
kukui gets closer to the door, trying to be as silent as possible, to look in the spyhole. if outside there’s someone bad - like guzma, just to give an example -, he will pretend he’s not home. he really isn’t in the mood to be beaten up to vent some stress, today.
yet, as soon as he sees who’s waiting outside, all this care is thrown in the garbage can, and his hands open the door so rapidly to probably make the girl waiting outside scared as heck. but he doesn’t care! because outside there’s her!!

he can’t hold back the joy in seeing her - after so much time, she’s back there! look at her! look at her!! -, and in a moment his arms are around her, fondly squeezing her in a strong and yet kind hug. oh arceus, he missed her so much!!
