she thought he'd been killed, thought he'd been torn apart by the zombies. but here he was. they’d ran away so quickly, they hadn’t even noticed that he was still alive. of course she'd wanted to stay there and help him, but dax had simply dragged her away, refused to put her in danger. well, in more danger. the entire festival turned out to be pretty dangerous. but then, even after his attempts to protect her, ashley got split from the group. lost and alone, she'd been ready to accept that she wasn’t gonna survive this. but then she saw lenjamin, and it was as if the world was telling her survival was possible. but there’s still zombies and killer clowns and guys with chainsaws running around, and just the ten foot distance she had to cross to get to him was scattered with corpses of kids shed seen earlier in the night. survival was a mission, one she wasn’t likely to complete. “lenjamin!” whispered as she gets close, the blonde taking note of the fact that he should still have the swipe card to the exit. she wants to find dax and sam and krill and help them get out, but she also wants to live, and she has no idea if those two things can happen together. when she finally gets to him her arms wrap around him tightly, though she quickly pulls away realizing they don’t have time for this. “I thought you were dead.”
