Haven’t seen much of Oumar Sy before but what I’m seeing today isn’t impressive. Great build for 205 and likes the jab but really jittery and sort of just letting the shorter guy explode into range with those long rear hand punches.

Ovince Saint Preux KOs Alonzo Menifield
It's too good to be deliberate but too calculated to be a coincidence, I suppose. The debut episode of Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series has three former football pros fighting on the same show. Greg Hardy is the real big name for many (for better or for worse) and his opponent Austen Lane is a really intriguing fighter in his own right. Rounding out the 3 is former Texas A&M Commerce linebacker Alonzo Menifield. Menifield has fought on Bellator prelims, LFA and on the Contender Series previously. He beat Daniel Jolly by TKO when Jolly suffered an eye injury in a somewhat blah fight to begin with but that hasn't stopped him from getting a second chance on the Contender Series. He takes on Dashawn Boatright on June 12th on Fight Pass and interestingly enough, I believe this one is scheduled as of this moment to headline the show with Greg Hardy sandwiched in the middle of it all. I guess you can call that hedge betting.
In a division where everyone kind of screams “Big Fish in a small pond,” Jimmy Crute is the loudest.
Two guys with all the athleticism in the world just chucking hammers and naked leg kicks that get countered at one another. Both refusing to move their feet to set up shots or move out of the way of punches. Both comically strong.

Alonzo Menifield takes UD over Ed Herman.
A complete performance from Menifield as he out kickboxes Ed Herman. The leg kicks from Menifield just zapped Herman’s ability to push the pace he probably wanted to set to be able to tire out the faster, more powerful fighter. Not a perfect performance but the type you need to show growth as a fighter. 2 in a row for Menifield and Herman gets his 3 fight win streak snapped. He’s also probably going to have to walk with a cane for a few days.
Not going to lie. I’m not going to be fully invested in this card til Fiziev-Green comes on.
