So, Nathan Zach Johnson (most recently, Alonzo in the 2022 Taiwan tour) is back on instagram. And Rafe Watts (Munkustrap) has apparently just been waiting for his change to release this to the world.

Day 2: See-through - 500 words

“You have to be joking.”

“I am absolutely serious. You promised to trust me.”

Munkustrap cringed internally. He had promised to trust his brother to dress him, and he’d regretted it as soon as he had. The supposed clothing currently being held out seemed proof enough that his regrets were valid.

“You’re going out, Straps. Not sitting at home with your knitting circle.”

“I don’t have a— ugh, Tugger, that’s not the point. I’d like to remain somewhat decent.”

“You’re going out to a midnight showing. It’s going to be dark, it’s going to be loud, and everybody there will probably be drunk. They will not care. Your mate, on the other hand, will appreciate it.”

“He’s seen me in clothes before!”

“He hasn’t seen you dressed up!” Tugger sighed and tossed the shirt and leather trousers onto Munkustrap’s bed. “You’d look amazing in these, but whatever. Tell Alonzo I tried.”

The door slammed. Munkustrap winced. His gaze went back to the items on his bed. He picked up the shirt gingerly. It couldn’t hurt, right?

Munkustrap was huddled in his jacket at the movie theater when Alonzo arrived with a bag full of props. He grinned, spotting a shine on Munkustrap’s trousers that spoke of leather. He was even wearing a little eyeliner.

“Hello, you,” Alonzo said. Unable to help himself, he slid his hand down a leather-wrapped thigh. “You dressed up.”

“Ah... yeah...” Munkustrap’s cheeks turned faintly pink.

Alonzo raised an eyebrow at him, a slow, sly smile curling at the corners of his mouth. “What? What’s that look for?”

“I’ll, uh. I’ll show you inside.”

Alonzo looped their arms and they walked into the theater. They took their seats and Alonzo threw off his coat with a flourish, exposing booty shorts and a bright pink crop-top. Munkustrap eyed him with interest. His gaze traveled slowly from Alonzo’s boots to the top of his head. Alonzo did a twirl.

“What do you think?”

“I think my brother was actually right.”

Alonzo grabbed at Munkustrap’s jacket. “Show me!”

Munkustrap unzipped it and pulled it off slowly.

Alonzo’s mouth went dry and he sent Tugger a silent thanks. Other than the leather pants and eyeliner— which was about as outlandish as Alonzo would have guessed Munkustrap would allow— Tugger had somehow convinced Munkustrap to wear a long-sleeved mesh shirt with thumb holes. He was not wearing an undershirt. His nipples stood out on his pale chest. He’d used glitter. Alonzo licked his lips. Munkustrap shifted self-consciously.

“Is it okay?”

“I’m going to buy your brother a present. Take it off.”

Munkustrap flushed and obeyed. Alonzo grinned, worming his hands under the mesh top. His fingers spread against his mate’s abdomen. Firm muscles contracted under them as he leaned in close.

“Alonzo, we’re— ”

“At a midnight showing. Nobody’s looking,” Alonzo muttered. “Except me.”

Munkustrap rolled his eyes and lowered his head to oblige Alonzo with an expected kiss. When they pulled apart, Alonzo grinned.

“I’m going to look all night long.”

Now that the hullabaloo of cockroach kittens is over, Munkustrap can finally rela—

no! No, conductor, stop that, cut the orchestra, don't encourage him!

What to do when you're down one slinky cat? The remaining one will just have to slink harder, is all.

A couple of clips of Michael Herrington's Alonzo covering part of Cassandra's track: 'Glamour Cat' and part of the ball, Oasis cast 16.

I can't get over that arched back as he oozes to his feet, or the little Cassandra-style mincing step in the second clip! And Munk's little scolding gesture to him in 'Glamour Cat': 'Back to your own track, boy!'

(Also featuring Rumpelteazer just dangling on the bedframe. 😌)

The only character missing is Cassandra, so I assume everyone else is first cast: Elise O'Connell as Grizabella, Anthony Lafornara as Munkustrap, Jasmine Eales as Rumpelteazer, Megan Little as Victoria, Sophie Cox as Sillabub, and Samuel Lewis-Wright as Mungojerrie.
