#snackboochiestrikesagain #snackboochie During this lockdown, I have not been able to get my regular fix of masala aloo laccha, aka SPICY POTATO STICKS. this is because my favorite supplier (currently #1) on the lachha list in in old delhi and I used to get some packets from him every time I went to old delhi to source for @funkanatomy. I went on amazon and was happy to see them offering Home delivery for a brand of aloo laccha I had never tried before. It promised to be 'extra spicy' and if anyone knows me, that is my kinda challenge. It arrived today morning. And while it does deliver somewhat on it's promise, it also should come with the warning 'extra salty' :P I'm all for salty snacks, but this for me was a tad bit over. It was spicy (though my old delhi onces are spicier without the warning) and has an after taste of ghee because it is fried in ghee and not in oil. I'm not a massive fan of the taste, but it is nostalgic and reminiscent of any mithai wala worth their salt in old delhi since they all fry thier shizzle in pure desi ghee. Spice levels : salt hits you before the spice, followed by the ghee taste the spice tends to linger at the back of your throat leading me to believe the recipe relies on pepper for the heat kick. Can see it doing damage to my stomach lining if eaten in larger quantities. Overall rating : 7/10 - fun to try, but would not buy. #namkeen #aloolaccha #spicy #potato #fried #snacks #chipreview #snackattack #savourysnacks #ghee #india #delhi #chips #munchies https://www.instagram.com/p/CBcxDXDpzuP/?igshid=sampkf9jsne6
