👫 honestly im SO curious of how obi wan would feel abt this here mandalorian [eyesmoji]

Okay, okay. This is an exciting one for me because I can actually see these two having a pretty tight bond with some patience. I have two versions of this era as well! One where Obi was carbon frozen shortly after the events of Revenge of the Sith and found post!empire (because I love to cause him torment), and another where he just doesn't die on the Death Star. I'll reference which timeline verse I'm making the headcanon in! Also, another prenup headcanon, Obi-Wan knew Grogu from before Anakin went child murder! Obi-Wan knew and assisted in Grogus training back when the baby lived on Coruscant. This will definitely influence Obi and Mando's relationship.

1) (both verses) Obi-Wan will definitely try to negotiate taking custody of Grogu (without the intention of training him) to find and pass the baby off to Luke. He does NOT inherently trust Mandalorians, especially those clad in beskar. Though, he wouldn't sense any of the aggression he would normally feel from traditional Mandalorians (a.k.a. Death Watch). So he would be wary, but not intolerant. The attempt to take over the baby’s lease would be due to Jedi matters, i.e. Jedi look after their own (or something like that). I can see any number of events that would shift his perspective and allow Mando to continue his foster care.

2) (both verses) Obi-Wan is FULL of information about Mandalore history, architecture and even speaks fluent Mando’a. This is due to his -cough- relationship with Satine -cough-. He even drinks traditional Mandalorian tea (not sure how he grows the tea leaves but -- shh ). If Mando ever wanted to learn more about his adopted culture, Obi-Wan would be patient and teach him everything he wanted to know. He’s also well informed about Death Watch too, so -- take that as you will. (Not to mention that Satine is still alive (?) and Obi-Wan would be with her regardless of verse. A Jedi and the usurped Duchess- Mandalorian info dump!)

3) Oldi-Wan would surely still have a close relationship with Luke, and hence (theoretically) could lead Mando straight to him. Skip some steps in the plot! Ex. Carbon frozen Obi-Wan would be interested in reconnecting with Luke, so I can see him wanting to come along on the journey. They would be travel buddies!! 

4) I can see these two very naturally becoming co-parents to Grogu, because Obi-Wan is naturally maternal (though he likes to deny it). He kind of turns into a mom if given the right conditions. So while I can see Mando and Obi having mutual respect for each other and that’s it, they would bond over the baby.

I've been playing Tree of Savior. Here's my main, I just got him to rank 8 yesterday so celebratory doodle. He's a good boy. I just wanted to make him Edgy. Lil blurb about him: A cleric of the Goddess, who brings her word and power to bear against the dark forces in the world. He was possessed by a demon as a child, causing his body to grow more demonic as he aged, before the demon was finally exorcised in his teen years.

                  approaching   from   the   settlement   is   an   INGOT   with   a   heartbeat.   beskar   from   the   shine   of   it.   not   a   fool,   then,   if   he   could   afford   it   .   .   .   or   steal   it   &   live.   from   the   careless   lacunas   on   the   ground,   anakin   was   close   to   his   own   target.   fingers   scrape   the   sediment,   the   pattern   in   the   force   echo   fluctuated,   hying   in   extreme   peaks   &   valleys.   close,   &   nervous,   too   .   .   .   good.

                  if   the   ingot   is   competition,   he   was   competent,   too.   you   couldn’t   have   come   at   a   worse   time.   anakin   makes   his   retreat   to   the   mechanic’s   shack   &   resumes   work   on   a   zephyr-g   that   had   been   grounded   for   years   until   his   hands   healed   it.   he   senses   the   mandalorian   enter   the   shack,   CLEAR   OF   MIND.

protector of what the sith lords before him held dearly, he vowed naught but to control thine world with fear.  the mandalorian whom walked among his people perhaps sought not to disturb his empire in the making, but was a nuisance nonetheless. he can feel a shift in the force,  eyes narrow.  ❛   and to what do i owe the pleasure,  mandalorian?  your kind doesn’t often visit my city.   ❜   /  @alorir​  !

something pleasant prickles along the nerves of the force that skate through the air, across her skin and whisper in her ear.

this is what warmed the strange and sudden mandalorian’s presence to the lone force user. not merely her checkered history with the mandalorian sects, but his desperation. his care. it may have seemed harmless to prioritize grogu’s comfort and sense of self over his own, but ahsoka does not hold the same opinion. for two immensely different beings, such a communion is remarkable. while they are a practical distraction from her intended mission, the former jedi finds herself immensely glad they sought her out. she’s seen nothing like this in so long. 

                       ❝ grogu seems to understand what it is you’ve saved him from, and the sacrifices you have made, although he’s still young. not all of it is clear to him. nevertheless, he is grateful in the ways he knows how to be. ❞
