What would Shizuma and Reiji do during Reiji's ruts?

During Reiji’s ruts- and even though it kills him to do it- Shizuma has no choice but to call an omega to help. Either a friend or a prostitute, there are just some things a beta can’t do for an alpha. One of those things is satisfying an alpha’s rut. Often it’s Kaede, because a) Kaede’s infertile, and b) Asuma (Kaede’s mate) is also a beta and thus can’t exactly satisfy Kaede during his heats.

Alpha!Reiji trying to court Omega!Takeru with overprotective siblings and Honan getting in the way constantly?

Well I feel like Reiji is the kind of person who can convince people to do some really stupid stuff with a bat of his eyes, so pretty much the entire family finds out when Tobio catches Reiji and Takeru making out and Haru chews them out loud enough for all of Tokyo to hear and so long their dad had enough time to drop two more kids on the doorstep

Reiji is sat down by every member of Honan separately and threatened seven different ways from Sunday. 

Whenever Reiji and Takeru go on dates one of Takeru’s sibs follows them and either Takeru doesn’t notice or doesn’t say anything but they always glare daggers at Reiji and he’s really getting tired of this shit

Comparatively Honan is pretty tame. While Takeru’s family is still divided over Reiji, Honan has decided that the best thing to do is make sure the couple is safe. The most entertaining effort was a shoebox full of flavoured condoms from Hozumi and Heath.

Haru, Tobio, and Sousuke only give their blessings when Papa comes in and says he doesn’t like Reiji (read as: they still weren’t sure on Reiji but in the spur of the moment disagreeing with their dad was more important).

What would Asuma feel about Shizuma and Reiji's relationship? Would the whole team know?

Let’s be honest, their team is full of rocks and even though they act all gross and married no-one realizes that these two are dating. It’s not that they’re close-minded, just that the thought of an alpha and a beta together- especially two males- never really occurred to them. It takes the team walking in on Reiji giving Shizuma a blowie to beat it into their thick skulls. 

Asuma was probably the one to shout at Shizuma and Reiji to just make out already in the first place, so he got to stand by and cackle which everyone else was oblivious. 

Everyone’s really accepting and when the pair publicly comes out they dub themselves the Shizurei Defense Squad. They have matching track jackets and take their positions very seriously.

I see you ship Shizuma and Reiji... What do you think their relationship as a beta and an alpha would be?

Ooh…

I think that it would be viewed in the same way that we view homosexual relationships. Some people are okay with it, others support it, most people are neutral, and then you have those people who believe the only ‘pure’ relationship is between an alpha and an omega or between betas. 

They would probably wait until after they graduate high school and fall out of singing stardom to come out, because they- as idols and sports stars who are almost constantly in the public eye- are wary of what the public will think.

Their fans are relatively supportive, save the fanatics who a) ship themselves with Reiji or Shizuma, or b) don’t know what to make of the relationship so they lash out.

Naturally, they get shit for it. Their parents either don’t care who their sons are seeing or they’re just not involved in the boy’s lives, so they don’t worry about their parents. But the media is in an uproar, because they’re pretty much the biggest teen idols of the decade and this completely goes against their onstage personas. But the media dies down, and life goes back to normal.

They want kids, oh do they want kids. But, as neither of them is feminine, they can’t have any children of their own. Reiji went professional in stride, and Shizuma became a children’s therapist. It was through Shizuma’s job that they ended up meeting the three children they eventually adopted.

The first time their daughter came home from school crying, it was because someone pulled her pigtails. The second time, it was because someone had given her shit because her parents weren’t straight. Hoo boy, did the school hear about that.

Do you have any Saisei or other teams presentation headcanons

I normally go off body type for presentation headcanons (ex. alphas are tall and broad-shouldered, omegas are small and thin) because I’m not a huge fan of the whole ‘presentation’ aspect- I tend to stick with how gender is normally assigned, by physical traits at birth- but sometimes I decide that a character is just too pretty or their personality is just right for a different secondary gender.

I like to think that stride is a beta-dominated sport, because it requires emotional connections with people that alphas aren’t the most adept at. This is reflected in my headcanons for Saisei, which is a beta-dominated team.

I’m also really flexible with these headcanons because I need to go back and rewatch the what, 6 episodes so far? There is every possibility that I’ll come back to you next week with different headcanons.

Reiji: I am just so flexible with Reiji but I think I’ll go with my original idea for him, an alpha, because I am just so in love with the idea that my omega Takeru can challenge an alpha

Shizuma: Beta (I have this headcanon that betas make the best relationers so you’ll probably see 90% of my relationers headcanoned as betas)

Bantarou: Beta. He’s described as the ‘mood maker’ of Saisei, and I like to think that betas are more in-tune with other people’s emotions (thus the relationer thing).

Tasuku: Alphaaaaa.

Asuma: Eeeeeeehhhhhhhhh he’s a beta (probably), because (once again), it’s a beta-dominated sport.

Kaede: Omega, because he’s a tiny child who idolizes the prettiest omega of them all (I’m talking about Kyousuke).
