99% sure that if mom lalonde and dad egbert had survived long enough to get married, rose and dave wouldve adopted jade as their sister so she wouldnt feel excluded from the strilonde-egbert step-siblinghood. and by the time they met the alphas rose would have a field day with thier love struggles.

ok so let’s see…

we got grampa & grandma and two dads, 

Jade and John are Jake and Jane’s cousins; their dads are brothers, jade and jake live with grandpa though on the island and his cruise ship, while jane and john live in john’s dad’s house with grandma. jane’s dad is dead i guess. 

then we got rose and mom lalonde, mom’s brother bro strider and his son dave, and her other brother dave (alpha) and his son dirk, and her sister rose (alpha) and her daughter roxy. dave & rose (alpha) died, so mom lalonde takes in roxy, and bro takes in dirk, rose & roxy and dave & dirk grow up as sibling pairs before mom takes them all in, no longer trusting in bro’s care.  

so when mom lalonde marries dad egbert, jade, jake, jane, john, dave, rose, roxy, and dirk are all essentially now sibling-cousins, and they’re all highly amused by this while also none of them liking it at all cause they all had crushes on each other before this and the marriage just threw a monkey wrench into everbody’s business, and bonus points if mom married dad out of passive aggression or something really boring like tax benefits. 

 tbh most of this is my headcanon for how the family’s work anyway; cept in my aus, mom and dad are never usually a thing & roxy usually ends up the new head of the strilondes and becomes the new & improved mom. 

honestly this au specifically sounds like something i’d have to visualize by playing the sims, in order to properly sort it all out.  

actually, what if, mom and dad were divorced though? like a reverse family gathering au. just, a family disintegrating, and splintering off into the winds, the children, learning about their relations long after the dust already settled; “Dave your crush is our ex-brother.” “who isnt our ex-brother, at this point though?” “fair enough.”
