@darkbluehades The rule of the Alpha could never be questioned – and in this world, to be an Alpha is to be divine. Every mortal knew of the strange Alpha genes of the gods – and how mortals who exhibited the A/O gene were brought to the gods for a specific service. If a mortal was lucky, they would be born with their own Alpha gene and brought to the gods to be servants. If a mortal was unlucky, they would be born with the Omega gene, and be brought to the gods and gifted as pleasure slaves. For every god was an Alpha and it was the desire of every Omega to be mated with…no matter if it was a sincere want or not. But she was one of the lucky ones. Persephone had tried to hide it for so long, turning away Omegas who would try to answer the call of their Heat with her…but that would happen only too many times before the Acolytes at the Temples began to take notice. Genes always won out they said. The Alpha and Omega blood was too strong to resist… and they knew the gods would desire another Alpha servant, a beautiful one at that. And so Persephone was taken from her home, without any question, and brought to the Temple. Her mother Demeter was paid for her of course – enough to feed her perhaps for three years – and though Demeter wept, she also knew it was a great honor to be an Alpha servant for the gods. And so Persephone was washed clean, dirt and grime removed from her skin, and her hair washed with perfumed oils and soap. She was kept away from the Omegas for fear of what her Alpha presence would do – and when the appointed day came she was put in a fine dress. At this point the Alphas were brought to the base of Mount Olympus first, the Omegas would come later, and she was set in a long line of Alpha males who were to be gifted to the gods that chose them. Persephone couldn’t help but be nervous. True, she would not be subjected to being the sexual plaything of some cruel god or goddess, but she also didn’t know if the gods and goddesses would be cruel in other ways. Who would be her Master now? She was silent as the gods descended, coming to stand before the Acolytes as they bowed and begged the gods for their blessing, as well as their favor for these gifts. Persephone’s eyes went from deity to deity – looking down the row until her eyes landed on one particular god who was gazing back at her.
