I improved my avatar and her ikran

I recently went to Disney and visited "Pandora World of Avatar" at Animal Kingdom for the first time and I couldn’t help but buy an ikran because they are too adorable! And I ended up buying the custom made avatar as well...

The temptation to accessorize them was too great (plus it’s right at my alley with jewelry making with beads and even sewing a mini satchel bag with accents).

Now she has a place to properly store her bolas when hunting xD

Back in May 2017, Avatar-themed trash cans debuted in the newly opened Pandora area of Animal Kingdom, enhancing the tourism aspect of the official storyline:

Pandora – The World of Avatar provides eco-tourists the opportunity to join Alpha Centauri Expeditions (ACE) for the transformational experience of a lifetime—filled with unforgettable expeditions, floating mountains, a bioluminescent forest, winged mountain banshees and more. In partnership with ACE, visitors of every age will have the chance to explore the values and culture of this exotic place, and celebrate the striking beauty and overwhelming power of the natural world.

The initial ACE trash cans were weathered and well-themed, blending seamlessly into the storytelling environment. In Fall 2024, Disney iterated on these cans as part of their continued Animal Kingdom rollout of compostable cups, serving containers, and utensils in Pandora. This update introduced a compost-specific can to join the existing trash and recycling receptacles.

The revised iconography clearly illustrates the unique use of each can, with visual aids located just below the inlet areas. The "Trash" version retains a standard flat inlet flap, the "Recycling" can features a singular circular hole for bottles, and the new "Compost" can has a mini rectangular inlet flap to differentiate it from the "Trash" version.

These visual aids prompted the "ACE" branding to shift from its original position at the top of the can to the base. Overall, this update looks fantastic, maintaining thematic elements while introducing more sustainable methods for disposing of used materials. It's a solid update on many fronts!

Let's look inside Pandora's Satu'li Canteen at the trash and dish station. Per Disney, this "was once the main mess hall of the Resources Development Administration (RDA) base located in the Valley of Mo'ara.
