“You shouldn’t be in here.” “We’re about to head out; I wanted to see you first.” “It’s lights out.” Maze laughs quietly, eyelashes fluttering against Ordo’s cheek. “We’re going to get caught.” “Nah.” Ordo presses their foreheads together. “Ni kar’taylir darasuum.” Maze sighs, hand wrapping around his forearm. “I love you too, murkha.” “I am not a blockhead!” Someone clears their throat behind them and the two jolt to look. Kix raises an eyebrow. “Lights out,” he reminds the two pointedly. Ordo steals a kiss from Maze, gives a quick goodbye, and is gone. Maze collapses back into the pillow he brought in for him. “You couldn’t have given us a little more time?” Kix rolls his eyes. “I gave you as much as I could when shift change is about to happen. Now lie back, you’re supposed to be resting.” Maze flips him off.
