I WILL NOT BE INFECTED BY TWIN COLT PROPAGANDA,
I WILL NOT BE INFECTED BY TWIN COLT PROPAGANDA
I will in fact be infected by twin colt propaganda
anyway, under the cut: Bloodymary warning, Omegaverse, Alpha Simon, Alpha Colt, Omega Grace, no incest they're just brothers don't be weird
Yeah, so for whatever reason after sending Grace into space and hearing nothing back for a few years they decided to send another ship as a back up, because ya know, redundancy.
And that is the same, engineer, scientist, pilot. The pilot dies, and they find someone snooping around, and it’s Colt. They send Colt in place of the pilot, since he does technically have air plane training, and hopefully the added boost of informing that his brother is up there somewhere will embolden him to help the crew.
Everyone dies but Colt because he has the coma resistance gene, blah blah blah
Ryland somehow manages to pick up the radio signals from the new ship ‘Glory B’, and they go out to retrieve Colt.
Tension between brothers after not talking for years and all that. Rocky spazzing out because apparently humans can look identical?? Eridians have no concepts for twins. Colt dealing with back issues and needing a wheel chair on standby or back aids.
Now to the fun part.
He may not be close with his brother, as he had been when they were little, but he’s still an Alpha. And his brother is still an OMega, regardless of the fact that Rylad is technically a few minutes older than him.
So this weird Alpha on planet makes him anxious. At most instances, Ryland is sort of easy to bully into submission. Not submission submission, but Colt was used to getting things from his brother, and subsequently, protecting him from others who found that loophole too.
He’s mostly worried that this weird man is intent on manipulating Ryland to be his Omega, since he's in fact the only one on the planet, and Grace is too nice for his own good. (He used to be a huge friggin brat, but after getting humbled pretty good on his only paper, he’s seemed to mellow out a ton)
The man is pretty chummy with Ryland, Colt’s stomach twisting anxiously when he sees them standing close or touching in a not casual manner for how much they didn't know about each other. So he does reasonable crashout brother things.
This was brought to you by, this scene playing out in my head constantly:
Simon and Grace getting into bed to sleep for Colt’s first night on Erid out of the med center, shuffling in close, like usual to cuddle, only for Colt to come in with his own pillow, throwing it into Grace's face.
“Make room for Jesus,” Colt says, going into a plank fall and the other two scrambling to make room before he falls in between them with a grunt.
“You’re not Jesus,” Ryland deadpans as his brother takes the pillow, tucking it under his head.
“I was tied onto a cross before though, for a stunt,”
“Yeah, I know. Mom almost pissed herself seeing it in the theater.” Grace says, glancing at Simon with an apologetic gaze, but the other alpha just huffs and settles onto his back with crossed arms.
“This bed isn’t really built for three,” Grace says, settling onto his side, facing his brother with an annoyed stare. “You’re right. Hint hint,” Colt says while jabbing his elbow into Simon’s side behind him.
“You want me to leave?” Simon huffed.
“I mean, we’re brother’s,” Colt said over his shoulder, pointing between Ryland and him. “I don’t even know what you are. Seems kinda obvious.”
“There’s a couch,” Simon spat pointedly.
“And I’m sure you’ll be very comfortable there-”
“I’ll sleep on the couch,” Ryland started, half way up before both Alpha’s protested.
“You’re not sleeping on the couch.”
Which made Grace drop back into his spot with a groan. “You’re both treating me like I’m four. Do I have to remind you that I’m the one with a doctorate here?”
“What? You don’t wanna cuddle with me?”
“We haven’t cuddled since we were twelve, Colt.”
“And I haven’t had human contact in years.”
Grace's raised brow had Colt rolling his eyes.
“Fine. I’ll cuddle with Simon-”
“You will not.” Simon said firmly.
Colt only clicks his tongue, looking back to his twin. “You’re the one who keeps saying it’s for human connection.”
And Grace just stares at him for a moment with an expression that reads ‘are you really serious,’ before letting out a gruff noise and tugging into his brother awkwardly.
Cause yeah, he hasn't spoken to his brother in years and now he wants to cuddle? How is that supposed to be normal? He knows families do this kind of pack bonding but after their parents died there wasn’t really any family space for them to have common ground in.
And it’s actually kind of nice. Because he did miss his brother. He missed his mom and dad too. And hasn’t had a familial connection in so long. And now that there’s no worm in his ear telling him it’s gross for them to be close like that and it means he wants to fuck his own brother, it’s calming and knocks him out almost instantly.
Bonus:
“You really can’t tell them apart,” Simon says to Adrian, who was looking in through the outside window at the tangled mess of the twins who were now, less cuddling, and more hanging off the bed and sticking elbows in each other's face. He's half glad he decided to give up on sleeping here and moved to the couch in the middle of the night.
“Simon has spare parts for mate now, statement.”
“That’s probably the best idea you’ve had so far, Aid.”
