Recommendations Needed

I just read the Duke with the Dragon Tattoo by Kerrigan Byrne and I need more bananas bonkers tortured heroes in my life.

I'm talking dark, brooding, arrogant, nearly legit crazy (in love), and definitely over the top. I've read through Byrne's Victorian Rebels series already.

But I don't want the rapey-ness of early bodice rippers, if you get what I mean. No Laura Kinsale's Shadowheart or Warrior's Woman by Johanna Lindsey.

So.. does anyone have any books to rec?
