MY MASTERLIST: ★
mikey had never been a man who chased after love. the idea of needing someone, of leaning on another... it felt foreign and almost weak. he’d spent years alone, his heart shielded behind walls that were built from the pain he received and power he acquired. but he was fine with that.
in fact, mikey wasn’t a man who believed in soft things. not in feelings, not in attachments and definitly not in needing someone. his world had always been about strength, survival, and control.
but there had been a time, a short moment when he knew something else, something sweeter, something kind. something he buried deep inside and tried to forget.
and she was that something.
back when they were younger, before the blood, the fights, and before the world tore them apart, she was his omega. she wasn't official, none of them ever said anything about it, never categorising their relationship out loud as it was too precious to be put in a box.
but the way she moved, the way she smelled, it was once all his for a while. he silently owned this soft and gentle presence, balancing out the chaos in his life. a presence that made him feel loved and at peace.
but he never tried to change things between them. it was comfortable the way it was. and even though he wanted more, he never had the courage to keep her by his side.
he remembered how she had looked up to him when they were young, how her delicate hands trembled whenever they touched, how her voice softened just for him. he had always been her protector, her support. driven by an alpha’s instinct to guard and hold, he was fierce and reliable.
so when he saw her now, shivering on the cracked pavement, ragged clothes hanging off her, eyes wide and unblinking, he wondered when it all went wrong.
how did life messed you up this bad ?
you looked so small, so painfully vulnerable.
the omega he had once held so carefully, who had needed him then, was still there, but different, tortured by time and a life way too harsh for her. your skin was smudged with dirt, your hair tangled. and yet despite everything, you were still impossibly beautiful in that quiet way omegas are : soft, pure like something that was made to be protected.
really, what happened ?
you were kind, sweet. you used to bring him snacks without asking. used to smile when he didn’t even deserve it, and talked to him like he was human, not something awful and scary. and he never said it out loud, but you made the world bearable for a little while.
and now this?
now you looked like you hadn't been hugged in years.
your scent, his favorite scent, was numbed by the cold, exhaustion, and whatever pain you've had to go through in order to survive. and it didn’t suit you, none of this did in his eyes.
you were supposed to end up with some decent alpha. some guy who took care of your needs without you having to ask. who cooked your favorite meals and kept you warm and never, ever let you fall this far.
not like this. not here. and definitely not all alone.
mikey’s jaw clenched so tight it ached. his fists were already curled at his sides, twitching with guilt as he watched his highschool sweetheart he had abandoned a few years ago, so sure his presence in her life would've only resulted in misery.
so where was the world that was supposed to treat you gently? and where was the life you deserved?
you, who should’ve had a quiet home and soft blankets and someone to press kisses into your neck just to calm your nerves. you, who should’ve been spoiled and cared for, never left in the dirt like a stray.
and he hated it. hated that no one had done that for you. hated that he’d let you go. that he thought keeping things as they were would be enough. and regretted that he hadn’t stepped in when he had the chance. regretted that he convinced himself it was better to keep you at arm’s length, telling himself it was safer, easier, that nothing had to change. you were always there, soft and kind and good to him, and he’d thought that would always be enough.
but it wasn’t, and he knew that now. because you looked at him like he was all you had left. and maybe that was the case. especially in your state.
but he wasn’t the soft alpha you used to sit next to on rooftops. nor was he the tired but gentle boy you’d offer snacks to during long school days. that side of him died with everything else after you parted ways.
the man standing over you now, all dressed in black and dirty money, wasn’t warm. and he wasn’t gentle. his hands weren’t clean anymore.
and yet, even like this, your eyes still found something positive in him. mikey could see that you clung to the past version of him, that you still trusted him.
you didn’t flinch when he crouched down in front of you and you didn’t look away when he stared into your face with those once familiar eyes, now dark and unreadable.
you just blinked slowly, lips slightly parted and throat swallowing thickly as if you wanted to say something, but didn’t have the strength to.
and how he hated how small your voice sounded when you finally did speak. “…mikey?”. his jaw twitched, his hands curled into fists against his knees.
he knew you were cold, he could feel it even from here. the wind was sharp and he was absolutely sure that thin sweater of yours didnt shield anything. and yet, you didn’t even try to pull it tighter, as if you were too tired to fight back.
“who did this to you?” he asked quietly, his chest tightening.
you didn’t answer him. you just looked away, shame clouding your expression. and that pissed him off more than anything.
you, his sweet little omega, the girl who used to fuss over his injuries and light candles in her room when he looked too tired, you thought this was your fault?
“stand up,” he said simply.
you went to protest, but he beat you to it, interrupting you and repeating himself.
“I said, get up.”
you flinched. once again, your first instinct was to argue, to tell him no, that he didn’t have to bother, that you weren’t worth the trouble.
you didn’t even look like a person anymore, let alone an omega. your clothes were ruined, your scent unbalanced, your skin dull and bruised in places you didn’t even remember getting hurt. and he looked like the embodiment of power, like the kind of alpha who controlled entire empires.
that's why you felt disgusting next to him.
“I—I can’t.” your voice cracked, barely above a whisper, weak and tired. “look at me…”
he did, and that was the problem. he was still looking at you, like none of it mattered. like he still saw you under all that filth, and that only made the shame even more unbearable.
you looked away, hugging yourself, small hands grabbing your own arms. “you shouldn’t see me like this,” you mumbled, voice shaking.
mikey didn’t move for a moment. but quietly replied, voice trying hard to be soft and reassuring. “don’t say that.”
his voice had shifted, it was deeper and lower. his scent was also firmer now, filling the cold street with that unmistakable alpha presence, strong and commanding. but it wasn't suffocating, instead, it helped ground you, made you feel a little bit more at ease.
“I don’t care what you look like,” he said, stepping in close, until his shadow covered your smaller form. “you’re not staying here. not another second.”
you shook your head, voice breaking with something between panic and humiliation, once again trying to protest, in vain, because mikey wasn't letting you out there, he wasn't going to just walk away. not this time.
he took off his coat and wrapped it around you before you could even realise it. you smelled like dirt, like the streets, like everything you should never have had to endure, and still, beneath it, that soft omega scent was there, faint but distinct. soft and sweet, just like he remembered.
it was his. always been. he had always felt more possessive upon smelling your pheromones, felt like it was his duty to look after you. and so he did what he didn't do before.
you looked up at him, shocked as he hooked an arm under your knees and lifted you like you weighed nothing, and your fingers grabbed his shirt automatically.
you tried to pull your face away from his chest, eyes avoiding his face. “mikey, don’t—just, put me down. this is... this is too much.”
he didn’t even slow down. “you can barely stand.”
“I’m fine.” you answered, although you perfectly knew the hunger had gotten to you and that you wouldn't have been able to take a single step yourself before falling down. and mikey knew it.
“no, you’re not.”
his tone was blunt, not harsh, but it was not open for debate either. and somehow, that steadiness calmed you more than any gentle reassurance could have. mikey wasn’t soft, not anymore, not like back then. but he was constant, reliable and he meant what he said.
he was silent the entire walk to the car. a black vehicle parked on a corner, the engine was still running, clearly waiting for him. the driver didn’t even blink at the sight of mikey carrying a clearly weakened omega in his arms. maybe he was used to it, or maybe he just knew better than to ask.
mikey placed you inside gently, as if you’d break at any sudden mouvement. he pulled the seatbelt over your chest and clicked it in. his hand lingered for a moment at your side, before pulling away slowly, like it took everything in him to leave your side for a bit.
he then got in on the other side and shut the door. the silence in the car was thick.
your voice was small when you whispered, “you didn’t have to…”
“I wanted to,” he cut in flatly. “you think I’m going to leave you out there? after what you’ve been through?”
you looked down at your hands resting on your lap, trying not to let your scent increase with the embarrassment and anxiety rolling off you.
but mikey noticed, of course he did. mikey was sharp and all his senses had been focused on your whole being since he first saw you tonight.
he leaned back in the seat, turning his head just slightly to look at you. “you’re not a burden.” he said, wanting to reassure you and appease your mind.
you didn't answer, playing with your fingers nervously.
“I should’ve kept you close,” he added after a while and the silence that followed was heavy.
“but you didn’t,” you whispered, and you didn’t even mean it to sound bitter when you did. it was just... true.
“no. I didn’t.” his jaw twitched. he didn't blame you for saying the truth. he really regretted his actions.
“I thought leaving things how they were would protect you,” he said, almost in an attempt to reassure himself more than you. “thought if I kept my distance, didn’t drag you into anything… you’d get the life you deserved.”
he glanced at you then, with a gaze too sharp and dark to be meant for you. “and now look at what they did to you.”
“you were supposed to be safe. with someone good, in a warm house, with food, with someone who gave you what you needed. not—” he interrupted himself, clenching his hands in his lap. “not this.”
you couldn’t even look at him. you felt way too exposed, ashamed and disappointed at yourself for failing your life so miserably and ending up in this situation. you were not where you were supposed to be : next to a loving husband that could've given you the life any omega like you craved for.
mikey didn't take his eyes off you. he reached out to you again, slower this time, brushing your wrist with his fingers, carefully. “you're coming with me. I promise I’ll fix this.”
and although you still felt undeserving, still felt like you should be ashamed to accept it, you didn’t pull away, accepting his bigger hand into yours, enjoying the touch that once brought you comfort.
there was no way you could pull away. not when his scent enveloped your body like a warm blanket, making you feel the safest you've ever did in what felt like ages.
you wanted to trust mikey once again, wanted to believe he would make things alright again, that you wouldn't have to worry anymore. that he'd take care of you the way you dreamed he would've done a few years ago, when everything still felt beautiful and promising.
because you were sure now that, if no one else could protect you, he would.
Hi, I was wondering if you could write something for yandere!alpha!sanzu?
I could see a scenario where reader meets him and just assumes he's this pretty, sweet, and quiet alpha but then realizes he's kinda crazy as time goes on. Reader sees his katana, learns he's involved with a gang, and is also pretty sure he's stalking them. But he's just so sweet, picking reader up with his car, helping them clean, and is surprisingly very clingy

MY MASTERLIST: ★
your first encounter had been nothing sort of special, quite ordinary actually. however, he quickly stood out from others with his soft speech and calm appearance.
sanzu was supposedly a friend of a friend that your colleague had invited to one of her small party. knowing that, you warmed up to him quite easily. you exchanged a few words, sanzu keeping the conversation alive quite well, his natural eloquence making it hard for you to part ways at the end of the party.
sanzu didn't seem aggressive nor demanding, he kept a very polite stare, even offering his jacket with a sweet smile after your first date when he saw other alphas eyeing your cleavage.
he took care of you very gently, listening to your rambling attentively and complimenting any slight change about you nobody would've noticed. his scent felt reassuring, both manly and gentle, the type of smell that makes you want to burry your nose in his neck.
sanzu was definitely a good alpha in every way possible.
and so you kept the dates going, discovering more of his sweet side. you liked how he never pressured you into doing anything, letting you decide where you'd be hanging out today. sanzu made it clear that what mattered was your happiness, what you wanted to do.
he surprised you with flowers, enjoying how happy you looked.
but, somehow, you could feel him grow more and more protective as the days went by.
it started subtly : a gentle hand on the small of your back when another alpha walked too close, a sudden shift in his tone when you mentioned hanging out with coworkers he hadn’t met. he never said anything harsh, never raised his voice. but something in his gaze felt heavier now, lingering a bit too long, too harsh for you.
you chalked it up to affection. maybe even instincts. you knew alphas could get territorial, and sanzu had made his love for you quite clear, so it had to be just that, right?
but then came the morning you found a small scratch on your apartment door. thin, fresh, and definitely not accidental. you tried to brush it off, but your omega instincts prickled. you knew something was off.
that same day, sanzu showed up unannounced at your workplace. he claimed he was in the area and wanted to bring you lunch. he smiled, kissed your forehead, and you smiled back, even as your stomach slightly twisted.
“you work too hard,” he whispered, brushing a stray hair from your face. “i just want to take care of you.”
if course, you thought it was sweet. maybe a little weird, but that was the sanzu you fell in love with, and your doubts didn't feel legitimate enough for you.
and then you saw the katana.
it wasn't even by accident. it was carefully placed in his car when he came to pick you up one night. you laughed nervously, asking if it was for cosplay or something. but sanzu just smiled, wanting to but failing at reassuring you.
“nah,” he said, voice light. “just a keepsake.”
and that's all you were given as an answer, he didn’t elaborate and left you in such a relentless state you struggled to keep your scent in check.
after that, you started noticing more things, how he always knew where you’d be, how he texted when you were walking home even though you hadn’t told him you were leaving. how, once, you found his scent on one of your clothes even though you hadn’t worn it in days.
you wanted to ask. you really wanted to know. but something about the way he touched your cheek, so soft and gentle, made the questions stay stucked in your throat.
besides… he was still the same sanzu, right?
he still remembered how you liked your tea. he still laughed at your jokes, cleaned your kitchen without being asked, and held you so close you felt safer than anyone could ever imagine.
so what if he got a little possessive ? alphas were like that, right ? it was only natural and not worthy of worrying your mind. besides, you were born a tiny bit anxious and an overthinker, maybe it was time for you to fully rely on him and stop those useless thoughts ?
but the feeling never left you. the feeling that something more sinister was hidden beneath his smile.
· · ୨୧ · ·
so you waited until he was asleep.
his arms had been wrapped tight around you all night, like he was trying to press you into his ribs where no one else could touch you. his scent clung to your sheets, warm and dizzying, almost invasive. you’d spent hours staring at the ceiling, heart beating too loudly to ignore it.
so when his breathing finally evened out, when his grip softened just enough and you knew he was asleep, you slipped out from beneath him.
your phone was already in your hand. you had thought about it for a long time. just one message. something as simple as that.
“hey, i think we need a bit of space. just a little. i need to clear my head.” you wrote, biting the nail of your thumb.
you didn’t send it right away. instead, you just stared at it for a moment, thumb hovering over it. you knew it would hurt him, that was for sure. but wasn't it healthy? for the both of you? you wouldn't be gone for long, just enough time to help you think clearly about everything.
so finally, you hit send. turned off your phone, and exhaled a shaky breath, trying hard for sanzu not to notice the change in your scent and how on edge it has been.
you didn’t hear him move, nor did you hear him wake up, it was complete silence. but suddenly, he was right behind you.
his voice was quiet, but sharp and sent a shiver down your spine.
“space?”
you froze.
“you want space from me?”
when you turned to look at him, his eyes were wide, not angry, not exactly. more like… shocked. like the world had collapsed under his feet and he couldn’t understand why.
“baby, i thought you were happy,” he said, stepping closer, his hand reaching for your face. “you said you were happy.”
“i am,” you whispered. “i just—i need some time. just a day or two. for myself.” you couldn't meet his eyes, hands getting a bit shaky by the second.
his lips parted and he let out a soft, almost sad laugh. “a day or two? alone? no, no, no—y/n, you don’t understand how dangerous that is. there are people out there who’d hurt you. people who’d take you away from me.”
you swallowed thickly and called him weakly, “sanzu…”
“no,” he said, and this time, it was final. “you don’t need space. you need me.”
he stepped even closer. his scent flooding your senses. it was heavy, cloying, you couldn’t escape it and your knees weakened beneath it. maybe he did it on purpose. maybe he always had...
then his hands cupped your face, gentle but firm.
“i’ve taken care of you,” he whispered, brushing his thumb over your cheek. “i did everything for you, made sure you never missed anything. i gave you everything even when you didn’t ask me to, did you notice that? i watched you sleep last night, you looked so peaceful...”
and that's when your blood turned cold, and without even knowing, your pheromones turned sour too, circling around him almost like a punishment. a painful reminder of what his obsession turned your relationship into.
“don’t push me away,” he said, almost pleadingly now, shaking slightly.
he kissed your forehead like he always did, it was slow, deliberate, like he was trying to shut your thoughts for good.
however, no matter what, his hands never gripped too tightly. his tone never rose. but everything about him was final, like he was choosing the words that would end the conversation for good.
“you don’t need to overthink things, sweetheart,” sanzu said gently, brushing your hair behind your ear. “i know the world gets rough sometimes. but when that happens, you come to me. okay?”
you didn't answer immediately. instead, you closed your eyes, breathed in his heavy scent, powerful enough to cloud your mind for a moment.
you heard him soothe you, voice soft, trying hard to appear less threatening. you knew he did it on purpose, to confuse you. he was kind and he was worried, it was nothing more. but as usual, you were too stubborn to realise.
sanzu would never be mean to you. he'd simply help you understand that he wants the best for you.
“hey,” he whispered, tilting your chin up so your eyes met his. his expression was soft, painfully soft, like you were a wounded animal and he was the one nursing you back to health. “i’m not mad. i’d never be mad at you. you’re just… scared. that’s all.”
he wrapped his arms around you, pulling you in close. you could feel the hum of his chest, the way his scent deepened, it was comforting, safe and overwhelming in a way that made it hard to think. your instincts soothed under it even as your mind screamed.
“you’re tired,” he said, swaying the both of you slightly like you were a baby in need of comfort. “you always get this way when you’re tired. i’ll run you a bath, yeah? something warm."
his voice was thick with love, and pride. as if he had done something worthy of your praise.
and he had, hadn’t he? he took care of you. remembered things you forgot. loved you in ways no one else ever had...
he loosened his hold only to gently guide you toward the bathroom.
“just let me handle things,” he added softly, brushing his thumb over your lower lip. “you don’t have to think. you don’t have to decide. i’ll always know what’s best for you.”
