Lucas had been back in town for some weeks, though renting a home in a portion of it near the Preserve seemed like a farce compared to the home he’d once shared on Hale lands. He wasn’t sure what drew him outside in the dark that night, but seeing someone standing at the end of his driveway was a bit strange. Word was, that Beacon Hills had become a haven for supernatural beings, so it could have been anything standing there.
