girl and boy are gonna be joining the Hunger Games: Couples Edition so i slapped down some references

personally i hope they both die

oh my god i can't believe i've only just now thought of this

who in necrosquad is Jory and who are the three weed smoking girlfriends

ok so one might be tempted to think one of the two guys is Jory, which leaves both the girls and "the other guy" as the three girlfriends, but i think that's not the correct approach. instead i will be evaluating them regardless of gender

so let's go over the contenders from left to right:

Alpherat: Probably the most obvious pick for Jory since he is a large buff guy. HOWEVER, Alphe is a himbo extraordinaire who wouldn't harm anyone willy nilly, and is terminally emotionally well-adjusted. In fact, he is probably the strongest contender for Weed Smoking Girlfriend.

Sabien: Obvious pick for weed smoking girlfriend, and that's not incorrect! Sabien is very quiet and timid. While she does have the emotional capacity for hysterics, she does not have the iron will required for violence. Weed Smoking Girlfriend.

Meisa: An over-the-top supervillainess who loves drama as well as Committing To The Bit, I actually think Meisa could be Jory... but there may be a better candidate. Currently, Weed Smoking Girlfriend.

Camburai: A guy with a bit of a penchant for dramatics himself, but instead of a flair for the power fantasy, he is just flat out pathetic. While I wouldn't say Cam is currently prone to violence, he used to be, and that's good enough.

Despite my best efforts, Cam is Jory.

im so satisfied with how this turned out! i scribbled down a sketch to try out a pose and the very first one worked perfectly

so now that meisa has a new design im was looking at the crimes team piece i did last year and contemplating a partial redraw

spoiler alert: probably not gonna do that

but the original sketch was fullbody, because im a tryhard when it comes to art, and i just want to post it here because it contains one of my favorite details that i have drawn before but havent had much chance to point out

which is that alpherat does not tie the laces on his boots

its sort of ambiguous as to whether he simply does not know how to, or does not care to, but both interpretations suit him so well

Rigel hasn’t won the Hunger Games yet but I was overwhelmed by the desire to see Alpherat suffer in ridiculous circumstances, so I had to get him ready for people to draw

Sanding down Meisa’s and Alpherat’s designs into their final stages, hopefully. Main thing is that I wanted to give Meisa a different pink from Alphe so they didn’t look like siblings...??
