“M’lord Dragonling’d best be careful he don’t get too greedy, aye? Already sent him back his big brother, and in one piece too. Awful kind of little old me, if I say so m’self. Now, I gotta wonder, what else could he possibly want?”
Bed, wed, behead: Alrek, Marina, Jean-Pierre
“Oh, fuck you.” Dust pouts and pouts hard. “I like all of them. I hate having to choose.” A catlike sound of annoyance. “... I suppose I’d wed Jean-Pierre. He’s handsome, kind, a brilliant cook, charming, gods I could go on.” A soft, rather sad little smile. “And being what he is - maybe he could understand what I am.
For the other two, it would be on the flip of a coin who I’d wed or behead. Hmnf. This damned game.”
@alrekallard
[ Alrek doesn’t… well, he doesn’t really look like the Alrek that was last in Riften. He’s a little more beaten up, a little more worn down, the bags under his eyes are terrible. ]
I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to startle you. It’s been so long, I’ve been meaning to write.
Well, I didn’t write, either, so. You know.
You look like you need some sleep, though, lil brother.
alrekallard replied to your post “What do Bretons in Daggerfall do for fun?”
It's a national pastime!
Truly, the other provinces don’t know what they’re missing out on.
@alrekallard:
[ Ser Aiden almost gets up from his seat. Almost. Alrek, on the other hand, was startled, and rubbed at the spot he’d been hit. ] Yes, Eva. Hullo. Is that any way to greet a friend?
I didn’t know it was you! You should have said something before you tapped me. I haven’t-- Seen you. In a long time. [She blinks at him, startled.] You look like trash. I mean-- Handosme, as always. But tired. Worn up. [She looks over his shoulder at his knight.] Was he going to fight me? [She raises her voice.]
Were you going to fight me?
[ première pensée ] You know, if there were more women like that in High Rock-- in all of Tamriel, I might add-- we men might actually start learning our lessons much sooner. Sharp wit, sharper tongue, we're all doomed, alas.
Skin!
Young Neht was raised with the notion that he should going outside as much as possible and, barring that, to at least cover up with a hat lest he he should erupt with the most horrible affliction of all: freckles. A small smattering of black freckles across his nose and brow is everpresent but add sunlight and they bloom everywhere, especially his shoulders.
Neht got over his distaste for freckles but now he's cautious about sun exposure for another reason: tan lines. At any given time, the only part of Neht visible is his face, his hands, a sliver of neck, and maaaybe forearms. Neht noticed one day that his face didn’t quite match his body and ever since then, he’s tried his best to avoid a farmer’s tan. Priest’s tan.
Neht has extensive burn scarring on his torso as a result that he’s deeply ashamed of and disgusted by and only two people have seen him shirtless in recent years: Shey and his ex-girlfriend, Dravynea the Stoneweaver. Neht likens his appearance to a melted candle. The burns were so severe that Neht very nearly required his right arm amputated but it was saved with a combination of restoration and necromancy (Neht’s got some bone from a dead guy, but mostly the grace of Azura. Neht also has some faint discoloration on his thighs where he once had corprus growths, but you probably wouldn’t notice them unless you knew of them already.
Neht’s skin is a dark ash gray (and he can tan much darker) and at any given time, Neht’s skin is cool to the touch, partially because of the corprus but mostly because this is Skyrim.
